My brother and I went to Kemmerer to eat at the Scroungy Moose but he was backed up with orders so it was a 40 minute wait which we declined, we then tried to go to Rosie's pizza but they were closed and catering a private party, so we went to the Caribou Cafe and it was fantastic. My brother had a Patty Melt with fries and I had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. The service from this beautiful young woman with an incredible hairdo who was just stunning gave us multiple refills of our drinks and the other lady who brought the food was nice too. The food tasted great. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Caribou Cafe is in the space formerly occupied by Adimiah's, which we were sorry to see go, but we now enjoy Caribou's spin on made-from-scratch classics. Our waitress, whose name I've since forgotten, was very professional and thanked us for our patronage, both in person and on our receipt. The only criticism I would give is that if you're going to serve French onion soup, melt the cheese instead of serving it with cold cubes. Interior is nothing fancy, but given time, and $$, that is bound to change. Kemmerer is a tough town for restaurants, but we wish Caribou all the success they deserve.

The service was okay but nothing about the order was correct. I ordered a medium steak and over hard eggs and my eggs came runny with a steak that was so over done I had heartburn for the rest of the day. The people who came in after we already ordered and waited a while got their food long before us. All of this cost us $60 for 2 breakfasts and a kids meal.

We had a great time here! I was won over immediately when our server handed menus in a way reminiscent of old fashioned values. My mother got a menu then my wife, then my father, then me.

We ordered onion rings as an appetizer. I thoroughly enjoyed the way they were made. They come with a spicy sweet ranch dip that is very tasty.

I ate the cob salad. My feeling was the menu description doesn't do the item justice. It was loaded with meat, cheese, eggs, avocado and everything else that makes a Cobb salad great.

My wife ordered the chicken fried steak with the brown gravy. Fortunately I was able to eat some of her meal as well! The chicken fried steak comes with the option of corn or squash.

We are told by locals that garlic fries are incredibly good here and we didn't try those but will next time when we come back.

We finished the meal off eating a slice of mountainberry pie with ice cream. Also very good!

The service is great and the food is delicious. This is a diner that anybody can walk into and feel like they just landed in their hometown diner.

There is an additional surcharge to use credit and debit cards. Having said that, the prices seemed reasonable for the...

Hands down, the best food and service I have ever had when visiting Kemmerer! A number of us visit at least twice a year with an older gentleman who is very picky about the quality of food and customer service. He can be critical and hard on restaurant staff. Caribou Cafe has always been his choice of restaurants available in Kemmerer, but this week, everyone at the table remarked that the Cafe has upped the ante. Service was excellent with an exceptionally gracious owner who put our gentleman at ease with care and humor. From the fried mushroom appetizer to salads, sandwiches, hamburgers and a full on Sunday dinner plate of meat, mashed potatoes and gravy, all our menu selections got rave reviews around the table. Huge portions, fresh ingredients, beautifully presented in a timely manner. Delicious! One of those great small town cafes with real hometown atmosphere and fine, American home...

This place was absolutely excellent! I came down here with my family when we headed from Yellowstone to go to Utah. We we’re extremely surprised about the food given that the place is a small hole in the wall it seems. The service was excellent, Antonio treated us right! My dad said he had the best carne asada that he ever had, and my dad’s from south Texas! I had the special which was a chicken fried steak it was utterly amazing. Mom had chicken strips they were huge! Brother had a burger and fries! Their sauces were great! We would definitely go back, if we ever travel out that way again. The place was clean and they were practicing social distancing and wearing masks! Thank goodness! We felt safe to dine there. The chefs are excellent, and their prices were just right! Thanks so much for a memorable experience...
