We enjoyed breakfast at Place on Pine during a recent business trip to Kemmerer, WY (musicians playing at a local bar). It was one of two places open on a Sunday morning, and we were familiar with the restaurant from its previous incarnation as Cafe Ritz. We were greeted cheerfully by a gentleman I presumed to be the owner. We found the dining area spotlessly clean, and the new decor a bit more spartan than before, but still attractive and welcoming. I chose eggs Benedict, while hubby got a Philly cheesesteak omelet. Portions were generous and prices were very reasonable -- the total bill, including coffee, came to about $22 for the two of us.
The only reason Place on Pine doesn't receive 5 stars from me at this time was because service was a little slow. I imagine it's because everyone's working with a skeleton crew due to the COVID-19 situation. Should the opportunity arise to dine here again, we'd...
Read morePlace on Pine. This restaurant is amazing. The food is great, and the service is top-notch. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ONE. when you walk in, good luck finding a seat. However, if you do find a seat just sit yourself down and they bring their menu. Their menu is huge and has in my opinion more stuff than it needs. However, their selections are amazing. The chicken fried steak is crispy with warm gravy crispy hashbrowns and eggs. Their stuffed French toast in more like a French toast sandwich with fruit in the middle but it is amazing. The place is clean. The employees are nice, clean and well kept. They will even remember your face if you come here more than once (guilty). So if you're looking for somewhere you can get breakfast or lunch until 2 p.m. come here. It's worth the wait. It's worth the price. I'd say it's even almost worth fighting over a seat for! You will not be...
Read moreWhatever you do, do NOT get the steak salad. Literally, just lettuce and steak. When we asked the waitress if that's all it came with, she said "Uh, I don't know." A couple minutes later the cook came out with a small cup of other veggies and said they forgot to put them on. How do you forget vegetables on a salad? Also ordered the carne asada torta. Not what I expected at all,as it was on a Ciabatta roll that was very dry and crunchy. The meat didn't have much flavor either. The waitress was borderline rude because I didn't know what I wanted to drink when I came in and wanted a minute to look at the menu. I had a good experience last year when my son and I ate here so I thought we'd try it again with my wife. Sadly, not the pleasant experience I...
