The Brick House Pub — Restaurant in Kenhorst

I am disappointed in a place that used to be my go to spot. We live in the area and have always loved this secret little gem of a spot. I always said their food was totally underrated. Tonight my husband and I went there for our usual wing craving to find that they slashed 80% of their menu. They got rid of what I considered the absolute best wing sauce I ever had and could not find anywhere else (Asian bbq). Additionally they got rid of a ton of their wing sauces, all entrees. They only have 3 burger choices now, seafood options are gone and no delicious unique salads. We were just simply dissatisfied with the menu changes. Ordinarily they are slammed on the weekends and it is difficult to get in unless you have a reservation. Tonight it was the opposite of that. I don’t know if this has any relation to their menu changes but I could see if it did. They did have a large menu for such a small place so I could understand the need to get rid of some dishes, especially with the current economy, but I think the decisions to get rid of what made the place so unique and delicious is going to have a lasting effect. We went last Friday evening and walked right in to a table. Selfishly, I hope this is the case all the time, because it would be awesome to have a place where I can get food this fantastic and always be able to get a table. However, it would be a shame if The Brick House Pub doesn't make millions every year because there aren't too many places in the area that do better in terms of quality of food for the money. Think: Austin's, but less formal. Think: The Pike, but not as big & loud. Think: Liberty Ale House, but with a bigger menu, and you don't have to shout to have a conversation. I have eaten in the brick house several times and the service and food has always been great and I love supporting local businesses. However, last night was different. Although, I understand Saturday nights are extremely busy, the female bartender was very rude to me and the person I was with. We walked on the door...the bartender abruptly yelled across the bar there were no tables available and then turned her back to us ....not a way to greet your customers. There were seats at the bar and we would have sat at the bar and waited for a table but decided to go to another local restaurant... which was just as busy....but the bartender was far more pleasant. I understand if your busy but your bartender could have been a little more friendly or...
