I recently visited with my family after my children’s dance recital and I must say, it was a complete disappointment. We have been coming here for years and my sister in law worked here up until last night when she walked out so upset from the way she was treated as a paying customer by the staff. From the moment we stepped in, the problems began. I feel compelled to share my experience so that others can avoid the frustration and disappointment we encountered.
The food and atmosphere used to be good but has slowly declined over the years. We really don’t even enjoy going there anymore because it’s so hit or miss, but we go to support locally owned business in our area.
However, the most frustrating aspect of our visit was the abysmal service. The majority of the staff members exhibited a noticeable attitude problem, which was completely uncalled for. We were ignored for an unreasonable amount of time before anyone took our order, and when they finally did, they managed to miss two of our party's orders entirely. It was as if they couldn't be bothered to do their job properly or provide even a basic level of attentiveness. I believe the reason we were mostly ignored was because my sister in law worked there and they felt she should jump in to help them, even though she was off duty and was there as a paying customer to celebrate her niece’s (my daughters) recital. The waitress made it a point to walk past and say “ You should just take the order” then walked away to take other tables orders who got there after us. When asked if our food would be out because at this time it’s after 7PM, (we arrived at 5:30), another waitress shouted out “ you know how it is when we’re busy” which was completely disrespectful and uncalled for. I was truly appalled in that moment. If a customer asks when their food would be out, this is what you respond with?
Our complaints fell on deaf ears, until our entire table had to make a scene for a manager to come over. We had previously asked for a manager but was denied to speak with her. It was an infuriating experience that left a sour taste in our mouths, both figuratively and literally.
Overall, I cannot recommend to anyone based on my experience. The combination of overpriced food, a failed attempt at an upscale diner atmosphere, and horrendous service make it a place to avoid. A short note for the owner.. Below you suggested we give you another chance.. Today we did.. Also you said and I quote "sorry the food wasn't Hot enough" It wasn't Hot at all! Food "isn't Hot enough" is not a category. Food is either Hot or it isn't hot. Our food has Never been Hot at your restaurant. Never!
Today Some food items were delivered to the table literally cold (refrigerator cold!) and some warm. None of the food that my wife received was Hot. She had the taste of Italy..How is pasta sauce, meatball, sausage and chicken parm not hot? (With steam coming off as it should be) My fish was slightly above warm.. Really a shame that hot fresh food seems to he such a challenge for your restaurant to accomplish. I Sure Hope That You Address This Issue. To date we have spent $100.00 at your location for unsatisfactory food.

Read moreThe food is typically spot on. We are regulars here. Unfortunately we placed an online order on their website for a lunch order today and we did not receive it. When I went to pick it up, the order (a chicken salad and a steak sandwich) the hostess said their online system has not been up and running for the past week, so the order shouldn't have went through. I advised her that the website is running and allowed me to place my order and the charge was pending on my account. She went to the back to speak with the manager or owner, and they stated they couldn't process that order. I would need to order through their system and pay again, even though I paid on the website and the charge was pending. Then I would need to wait for the food to be cooked. I was on my 30 minute lunch break and could not wait. I had to get back to work and missed out on eating lunch. They need to tighten things up with the online system if they are going to use it. Their website to this minute is still allowing online orders, so this will more than likely happen to more people....
