El Exquisito — Restaurant in Kenner

I wanted to bring my wife here because the seafood soup dishes caught my attention.

My wife is native Honduran, so we always try new Honduran restaurants when we can.

I would give food quality along with taste a 3/5. But I ended up going with a 2/5 because my wife got a horrible stomach ache several hours after eating the food.

The presentation looks good, but there is something with the preparation, food quality and potentially the way the food is cooked that told me to give a 2/5 stars.

Please look into kitchen sanitation, food preparation, and cooking practices.

This place has a lot of potential because of their atmosphere and dish options. It's just a shame our experience here was underwhelming because of the reasons above.

Pollo con tajada was ok. Something about the chicken itself could have been much better. My wife and I think the food may be food...

Great looking place service was mid. Took a while to get a drink which came after I got my food. The food was hilarious when asking for Carne. I asked the waitress why so little meat jokingly and she said it's cheap for a reason which made me laugh! If you're in the mood for Spanish food please look somewhere else first lol.

Adding to this review. I'm assuming the manager in charge did apologize about the situation and didn't charge for the extra...well not extra meat. Still be careful if you're expecting extra or more please don't. Then again it's a bar to be honest not a restaurant...

I'm the kind of person who believes a place must to be KNOW and well recognized when they deserve it cause they're doing their job in the right ✅️ way... Well, this is the case with El Exquisito, we were a Family of 5, and we ordered several dishes: Parrillada Mixta, Pollo Frito con Tajadas, Pupusas Mixtas, Sopa de Mariscos, also a Piña Colada and 2 Margaritas... everything was made to perfection, the drinks were just delicious 😋 and we all enjoyed all our food... 👌🏻😎 this is a very good place, nice decorated atmosphere, clean and nice...
