French Press Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Kenner

I made a split second decision to stop here one morning & it was a life changing decision!! I'm not a huge coffee drinker. I can't drink hot coffee at all. I get frozen coffee and it is usually either so sweet that it doesnt taste like coffee at all, or it isn't sweet enough and the coffee overpowers it. French Press has managed to make the most PERFECT frozen coffee. It's like a piece of Heaven came down and landed in my mouth. I get the large Varamel LA Freeze. It isn't too sweet and it isn't overpowering coffee. It is literally PERFECTTTTT!!! It still manages to taste like coffee while also tasting like a delicious dessert. The whipped cream is to die for, the caramel syrup dripping down the cup is delectable! I now stop EVERY SINGLE MORNING that I have work (basically every dang day) and it is the highlight of my day. The girls at the window are always so cheerful. They obviously take care of their employees because happy employees come from a business that knows it is the employees that keep the business coming in. If the girls were rude, I would go elsewhere. I work with Customers on a daily basis and no matter how annoyed or stressed I may be, I always treat the Customers with kindness and respect. (I work at the CubeSmart in Kenner if yall need storage, hit me up!) This one girl that works there told me my makeup looked pretty and OF COURSE that's something I want to hear if I'm spending the time to do it. Now she will open the window and be like, "Oh hey girl!" So it has that family atmosphere that I love! I never write a review this long unless the place goes above and beyond and even though they are just doing their jobs, they are doing it FANTASTICALLY! I walked up to the counter and no one greeted me for 8 minutes. Finally the girl came out from the back moving at slower than a snail pace. The young lady walked up to me and said can I help you. I ordered a Lafreeze and paid her. She walked away and continued to do what ever she was doing and did not make my drink. I continued to wait 4 more minutes when the young lady working the drive up approached me and asked did you get your coffee yet. I told her no I did not and did not order a coffee. I ordered a Lafreeze and am almost ready to ask for a refund because it was taking too long. The young lady proceeded to make my drink without saying a word to me. She came and out the drink in the counter which had chocolate syrup all over the side of the glass and walked away still without saying a word to me, not even a look. I will never go back to this establishment again. This has to be some of the worse service I’ve had in...

I love their coffee but I have a suggestion... The attendants need to be a little more thoughtful when attending people with special needs. A young men who was blind entered the store and you could tell he was struggling to find the counter after he order his coffee he proceeded to sit at a table so when his coffee was ready instead of the attendant bring the coffee to him, he just said your coffee is ready, the young men walked towards the counter to pick up the coffee but he didn’t realized that a lady with a stroller was ordering coffee and was standing In front of the guy who was about to hand him his coffee so the lady is the one who had to basically direct his hand to grab the coffee and when he was about to leave the attendant call him back to give him the straw, again the lady with the stroller is the one who directed his hand to grab the straw.
