I indulged in the quintessential New Orleans experience at Cafe du Monde, and it was nothing short of sublime. The beignets, those fluffy, fried dough pastries smothered in a thick layer of powdered sugar, were absolute perfection. Soft, airy, and impossibly light, the beignets simply melted in my mouth, coating my tongue with their subtle, sweet flavor. And the powdered sugar - oh, the powdered sugar! - added a delightful textural element, dissolving effortlessly into a sweet, sticky film that left me craving more. In short, Cafe du Monde's beignets are an absolute must-try for anyone visiting New Orleans. They're a delicious, unforgettable experience that will leave you weak in the knees and craving more of that signature NOLA magic.

I had to stand for 5mins in a NO LINE line until the drive thru employee noticed me and told the indoor counter employee who looked at me and put her eyes down without greeting before it was pointed out to take the order (8-24-24). The beignets were stale you literally had to bite hard into it and chew chew chew before you swallow and make sure you have a beverage near by to help take it down. It a food hazard ⚠️ for children of all ages due to possible stoking on the dough. My 2nd time trying this location in 10yrs and was disappointed to share with my family members especially the kids. I’ll try the airport 1 when traveling back home…hopefully wouldn’t be this disappointed. 😔 Zero Stars for service & food.

The beignets are great here. We appreciate the quick service and air conditioning, so we often visit this location when in New Orleans. However, you can’t beat the atmosphere of the location on Decatur with the crowds and the heat and the powdered sugar everywhere. But - they could at least try for a little atmosphere here. Some music would be a huge start. It’s so quiet in there so it makes it awkward. And the service is pretty terrible. Zero personality and zero interest.

NM DONUT KWEEN ADVENTURES

I dropped by the Kenner location of Cafe Du Monde for 3 reasons... It was steps away from my Kenner hotel I knew I couldn't get to the original French Quarter location until the following day I needed a BEIGNET in my life urgently!

I was super excited to walk in and see the hustle & bustle going on around me. I didnt care that the line looked a mile long. In reality there were about 15 people in front of me. Not so bad.... i was willing to wait it out for just one bite of deliciousness. While in line i scoped out the place. I loved seeing all the bright colored mugs for sale along with the Cafe Du Monde coffee and beignet mix. Note to self: buy beignet mix at Original Location. There were tables filled with grown ups and kiddos enjoying their fresh made fluffy puffs of yumminess! Lucky for me the line sped on by and before I knew it... it was my turn! 2 orders of beignets to go and 1 order to eat immediately and a large cafe au lait. Oohhh i couldn't wait to take a bite! Ya'all know i don't like coffee but how could I break up a match made in heaven! Cafe au Lait & Beignets!!!!! I took a seat, snapped some shots and then bit into this beautiful creation! It was just as delicious as the first time id had Cafe Du Monde in 2000 and again in 2011. Yummy!!! Happy Servers! Perfect Service! Good coffee!! Beautifully made Beignets! I couldn't be selfish lol so i took some back to the hotel and my duckie loved them!!! Kudos to Cafe Du Monde for the...

I am only giving one star because I cannot give zero. I had an awful experience at this Cafe du Monde location a couple of nights ago. I arrived here at 6pm on a Tuesday night. I ordered almost eight dollars worth of beignets and coffee, and began to sit in the location to study for final exams (as I am a hard working college student). Maybe two hours later, a dear friend and classmate arrived at the location, so we could study together. This individual and I step away from our belongings for a moment, and when we come back to our table, a gentleman who I can only assume is the store manager, approached us and said that Cafe du Monde was not a place where we can leech (for lack of better verbage) off of the free wifi service, especially with outside food/drink. Granted, there was a cup from another establishment on the table, but I was a PAYING CUSTOMER! I bought beignets and coffee not even two hours before the manager approached my friend and I. I tell the manager that my friend and I can leave, as we feel unwelcome. At this point, this particular manager offered no apology for his misjudgment, but instead said he didn't want us to feel unwelcome.... too late! I felt that when the manager approached our table, his language was accusatory and his tone offended me, A PAYING CUSTOMER. My friend and I left this location after an exchange of a few words with this manager. I am not spending any more money at Cafe du Monde as long as I feel that my patronage...

Order one order of beignets and two medium coke drive-through. My son was eating crispy beignets, they were so hard, he couldn’t eat it. They were Harder than a cookie. I didn’t realize until he showed me. My husband and I tasted the coke we ordered and they were very sugary. We called the restaurant informed them the problem, spoke with a young lady. So we turned around after we had already drove across Lake Pontchartrain, get there and speak with the manager name Dylan. Dylan said that he was not going to refund the drinks because he cannot control how sweet they come out. I told Dylan, the young lady took the drinks back and threw them away already and I can’t get a refund of $9.00 and some change? Dylan said no. My husband told Dylan he gave us trash and the lady(older lady with blonde hair) who gave us the beignets at the window was wrong for giving customers trash. I could tell Dylan has a disability but I did tell him that he needs more training because what his staff did and what Dylan said to me and my husband that he(Dylan )was not willing to FIX THE PROBLEM with two medium cokes was totally unacceptable. Dylan you definitely need more training because you are wrong for not willing to help the customer. I was not wrong Cafe Du Monde were in the wrong. I will never come back here again as long as Dylan is...
