Sake Sushi Hibachi House — Restaurant in Kenner

Long time customer at Sake Sushi and Hibachi but I have to say since the Sons have taken over it has truly gone down the drain. Meat is very poor quality and service is not the best. Like I said I have been coming here for a long time (10+years). My husband and I were so excited to go to our favorite restaurant (sake sushi and hibachi) but when we got there we had a horrible time the cook acted like a child and we not fun at all while cooking if anything he acted like an Energizer Bunny just kept going. Honestly I didn’t hold it against his because not everyone can keep a person attention but once the food started being served I was so disappointed. I ordered Steak and Chicken and my husband ordered Steak and Shrimp. Both steaks were extremely salty, chicken had a rubber feeling when chewing and the Shrimp tasted like it was old or had been sitting out the cooler for a long time. We were accompanied by my husbands sister and our friend and when we called our friend about joining us he had informed us that the night before he went to dinner and had a few problems. He would tell us when but proceeds to join us. When he seen my get upset about the taste. He informed me that what I was explaining was what he thought the night before and again tonight. We asked to speak to a manager and the you kid that use to be the hostess came to our table not one of us had eaten much off our table basically enough to get a taste. He basically told us that nothing has changed when clearly something was wrong and the young ladies we were at the table with not in our party just sitting at the same table. They informed the manager of the issues they had the manger said nothing was wrong with it before tasting or smelling. We’re since I have been home I have been not stop vomiting really hoping its not cause of the food. Please fix and bring my favorite restaurant...

Upon arriving at the Resturant it looked run down and dirty on the outside. The only sign of it being open were the few cars parked out front. Once inside we were promptly greeted and seated. As we sat down we noticed the very dim lighting throughout the restaurant and lack of cleanliness as my phone stuck to the table and shoes stuck to the disgusting carpet; you couldn't even slide a plate or bowl across the table with so much sticky build-up.

We received our salad and soup promptly but waited 20 minutes just for the fried rice then another 20 minutes for our Chicken. The fried rice was awesome however the Chicken was a bit of a hit or miss since half of our chicken seemed to have a decent amount of fat or maybe it was just that over cooked.

Overall I gave this resturant 2 stars: 1 for the Fried Rice and 1 for the friendly service. Definitely will not be dining in again but wouldn't mind calling in an order just for...

I was on a date with my now boyfriend. We had such a lovely time. Your chefs are very animated and interactive and make sure we have smiles ^^

Edit** I am very impressed by this place even a year later. Kind service. I had eel avacado roll, ginger salad, and miso soup. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The sushi uses high quality ingredients and even comes with eel sauce. The miso soup had alot of tofu and seaweed which is perfect. And there is the ginger salad. Their recipe for ginger dressing will keep you coming back for more!!

Best part about this is I ordered take out. The take out is neatlu placed plgether and is very prompt when they say when your order will be ready.
