McDonald's — Restaurant in Kenner

I don't think i've ever written a review on a fast food restaurant; however, a recent visit to the mcdonald's on veterans close to williams boulevard in kenner, LA has definitely made an extremely heartfelt and positive impact on me this morning, highly noteworthy... hence this review. We just left this wonderful establishment, our order hot and fresh and correct. Both of us were astonished; i mean 💯 absolutely astonished, by the sincerity in friendliness and kindness of the staff in the drive through. All three associates that we had the pleasure of speaking with, we're enlightening on a level that's pretty much undescribable. It doesn't happen often when I can't find words to describe something, but it has today, they were so kind, so sincere, just happy. It is just a fabulous feeling when you can't get your order quite right, tentions inside the vehicle getting high, as a last minute change, which essentially changed everything (oops, my bad), is met by an associate that just gets it... my initial thought, "like, what?! Wow, she totally gets me, ❤️!" Epic. Followed up by, two smiling faces full of life and just happiness that you cannot buy in the pay and pick up windows, YES BOTH! Nothing but smiles and kind words and "have a fabulous friday, guys!" Mind-blowing! I would put the staff at this mcdonald's in a national contest for the absolute, most friendly, most sincere, staff, ever, in history, on the planet. This McDonald’s location charges more for their menu items more than every other location in the area. It’s ridiculous. The quality and service are USUALLY top notch so I don’t mind paying the premium sometimes. My most recent visit was UNACCEPTABLE. I went to the drive thru and I kept being told to wait while the other lane was constantly having cars go through taking orders ahead of me. I had a mobile order so I just needed to give a code and be on my way, super simple. I kept waiting and saying hello to the speaker and kept on being told to wait for no reason whatsoever. I was being skipped over and over again. The fries in my order were cold, unsalted, and super hard, not crispy, I MEAN ROCK SOLID. For a McDonald’s that charges A LOT more than every other location you should be exceptional on every visit every time. I will...

First off the lady in the drive thru didn’t understand nothing that was being said, I had to keep repeating myself, Here’s the real problem my daughter wanted a Filet O Fish Meal no cheese, extra tartar sauce , add ketchup. She also wanted a BBQ sauce We knew we would have to pay for the BBQ sauce, .30 cents (McDonald’s the only hard up fast food restaurant that does this) ok my baby checked the bag no sauce, even tho we were charged, glad we didn’t pull off I’m looking on the receipt to make sure he paid for one and noticed not only .30 for the bbq sauce, but also another .20 for the extra tartar sauce, no lie if I would’ve noticed that b4 I pulled off, I would’ve told them that lil .20 could’ve made up for the cheese she didn’t get. The fact that this place is nickel and diming everything makes no sense, won’t be back...
