Came in to have breakfast this morning. Was greeted eventually and directed to a back table that was covered in dirty plates and food from a previous customer. It took a bit for the table to be cleaned before we could sit. We ordered our food, which was mostly inedible due to quality and overall temperature. I understand the business of the morning breakfast crowd, so I didn't bring my dissatisfaction to the attention of my server. At the end of my meal, a ticket was dropped on our table for half of the full price of the meal.
I assumed that was a courtesy of the establishment for waiting for a clean table and food that we didn't even eat half of. I paid by card and tipped well in cash. When receiving my card back to sign for the payment, the charge had increased to the full amount rather than the amount that had been presented. At this time, the cash had been pocketed from the book and the server (Brittany) had disappeared and I could ask no questions. I called to speak with a manager who looked up my order to confirm I had paid the correct price, which I already knew.
However, I was presented a check with charges for 12 bucks and change, and was charged 35 and change for a meal that was inedible with the exception of my orange juice and coffee. The manager informed me that there was nothing he could do because I had paid the correct amount and that he would speak to my server about being more mindful of her transactions and that she likely dropped the wrong ticket. I've been working service industry for 15 years now, and I have never once decided not to communicate a server error to my customer. Transparency with your guests and management is imperative in the service industry if you would like to keep your customers, and I feel that management simply did not care and was content to make excuses for what I feel like is not only dishonesty but theft.
On top of all of that, Brittany cleared our plates and removed uneaten for off of the them to take home for her neighbors chickens. You could have at least asked if the food was okay since we ate barely any of it. The pancakes were hard, the hashbrown cold, the toast and biscuits still tasted like flour and were removed from the plates for the servers neighbors chickens and the ducks that live in the vicinity of the restaurant.
All in all, I paid out 45 bucks including tip for orange juice and coffee. I will not ever be back to this establishment and suggest that if you come here, watch your ticket carefully. My suggestion is to dine at the daisy dukes location on napoleon where service is great and the food quality much better. If I could leave 0 stars, I would, because one star is too generous for the poor...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and take your hard earned money elsewhere, this place is not customer service friendly. This was my first time ordering and will never go back. Keep reading as to why.
My bad experience with this place started at the end of placing my lunch order (for me and 3 coworkers) to be informed that they can't take separate orders on "to go orders". Really? Every other place I order group lunches from always accommodates us. I almost called back to cancel but didn't and should of because it gets worse. 🤔
I arrived and inspected the order before I left. They gave me 2 orders of 2 hot dogs each and I only ordered 2 hot dogs, not 2 orders of 2 hot dogs. The girl informed me she found out about the 2 for 1 deal on the hot dogs but doesn't bother to call me back and correct the order. 😒
Then my funnel fries are not even in either of the bags. I noticed this when I got back to my car to leave. I had to go back inside and ask about this. I'm informed it will take 5 minutes. I asked for my money back because I couldn't wait but the girl refused to refund me my money. Instead she gets the manager, I guess, and he comes out and he asks me what it is I need. By this point I am very perturbed and can clearly see why this place is a dump. I tell him about the fries and instead of giving me my money back, he insisted on me taking the fries because they were going to be up any moment and then they appeared out of nowhere. No confectionery sugar on them either. But he was nice enough to ask me if I wanted any powdered sugar, on my way out of there. 🙄😠
IF YOU CAN'T GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK WHEN I NO LONGER WANT THE PRODUCT THAT YOU FAILED TO GIVE ME IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THEN FORCE ME TO TAKE IT ANYWAY, THEN YOU LOSE A CUSTOM...
Read moreI don't really enjoy writing negative reviews, but im writing this ine bc maybe this can be used to improve things in the future. This experience at Daisy Dukes was not a great one.. some of the people at the table enjoyed some of the food, but other items weren't up to par. The pancakes looked like frozen pancakes that you throw in the microwave, and we had to ask for syrup for them. I asked for my egg on my burger to be over medium, but it was cooked all of the way thru. My water had stuff floating in it. At first, i thought it might just be from the lemon she put on the cup but later realized it wasn't (i never squeezed the lemon in the cup). Our waitress Kaiya was not very attentive. We had 4 people (she asked if the 4th person was coming when we ordered their drink) but gave us 2 menus, so we had to glag her down to ask for more. We had to call her over to us to order, get to-go boxes, and even handle issues with the ticket. She didn't check on us at all. We had to wave at her and verbally say "excuse me" to get her attention. The table next to us received their food before getting any drinks. They had to ask a male employee (maybe the manager) where the drinks were, and then she looked shocked that she had "forgotten" to get them. She spent her time laughing with and talking to a man at the high bar (he wasn't her customer) and then sat herself down to eat. She made us feel unwelcomed and as though waiting on us was a bother to her. :(
On a positive note: the food was hot when we received it, and my sister thoroughly enjoyed...
