We decided to stay in Kenner this year for the Jazz Fest and glad we did as we found Zea!! It hit all my star indicators - very clean, the staff was delightful and the dishes were delectable. Our server, Paris, was knowledgeable about the dishes, shared her opinions about dishes (which I appreciate) and was as charming as the city she is named after. We also chatted with John, the manager and he shared how Zea was created and we could tell he loved being part of the team - as did other team members. Of course we are Southerners so we swap other stories :). As far as the food, Paris helped us pick the perfect dishes for sharing - the Duck Empanada, Asian Ribs (get the 8 as u will be disappoint if u choose only 4), the Pepper Jelly Spinach Salad, with Sweet Ice Tea. To top it off we dipped our spoons into the enticing Sweet Potato Bread Pudding with a tantalizing rum sauce — a must for all future visits. Thanks Zea, for a perfect meal at the end of a perfect Jazz Fest!!

Can't say enough good things about this place. While in Houston, Texas, my uber driver recommended this restaurant as one of the things I "must do" during my 2 day stay in Louisiana. Dined alone, which I had gotten used to while traveling for work, but my waitress (Emily, I think was her name) was so friendly, and checked in with me so regularly, that I didn't feel alone. I had an excellent Mojito from the bar, and ordered the sashimi tuna stack appetizer and red beans and rice entree with grilled chicken (which also came with andouille sausage). Everything was so good, I ate far more than I probably should have. I would highly recommend the red beans and rice, but if that doesn't appeal to you just ask the staff; my waitress was extremely friendly, helpful, and honest about what I may or may not like based on the input I gave her. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

So good! They have THE BEST Hummas appetizer! They give you so much! Roasted garlic, sun dried tomatoes, olives, tomatoes and fresh herbs on top. Comes with hot fresh pita. (Sorry but we dug in before I could get a pic, it was so beautiful and looked delicious that we couldn't help ourselves) Love love love the rotisserie chicken. I always get the house rub but a side of the sweet asian. My thai snap beans were delish but my mashed sweet potatoes were cold. I'm sure they would have fixed it if I would have asked but it was my waiters first day and he had enough going on. I didn't want to add to it since I've bern there. Lol Too full for dessert but I did get a mule drink. I wanted blueberry but they were out so they suggested a satsuma one. It was ok. The ginger beer seemed a lil flat but I still drank it. Lol. Anyways, great meal after all. Will definitely be back!

I travel the entire country for work, about 50 weeks a year, so I see my share of restaurants. I’ve tried every food imaginable and seen levels of service from extremely good to extremely poor. Most restaurants either have great food and poor service or great service and “yeah, I wish I didn’t go there” food. The same cannot be said about my recent visit to Zea Rotisserie & Bar...they knocked it out of the park, all the way around!

Work brought me to the New Orleans area, so I searched for restaurants near my hotel. I saw the positive ratings here and figured I would give it a try. The location was easy to find, albeit the entrance caught me off guard, since it faced the road and the parking was on the side...but nothing bad about that at all. I walked in and was greeted by a very pleasant and smiling young man. He identified me as a new patron with his, “welcome back statement” and my reply, “I’ve never been here before”. I was quickly seated and greeted by my waitress, who also thanked me for being a first time customer. I placed my food and drink order, with helpful and friendly suggestions from my waitress, and food was quickly delivered by John, a manager there. He too thanked me for stopping by, even checking on me a few times during my meal. Exceptional service and probably the best I’ve received from a restaurant anywhere in the country!

Now, the food...well that’s easy, because it was amazing! The Thai ribs fell off the bone, the lamb sirloin melted in my mouth and the corn grits...where have these been all my life?!? This was one of those meals where you are full, but you can’t stop eating because it tastes that good.

Like I said, I visit a lot of restaurants, all over the United States and hands down...I would visit this location again and again! Great job to the entire staff for the...

Joseph was by far the best waiter that I have had in my life and I am 64 years old. My son, his girlfriend, and I dined there yesterday evening and I am not proud of myself in saying that I was probably the most challenging customer Joseph has ever had and I would like to apologize to him. Joseph truly is what every person dealing with the public should be and more. I was upset before arriving and steadfast in continuing to make a statement with my dining company by staying upset and distant at the same time. Joseph tried to make things better...he tried his hardest, when a lot of wait-staff would have given up. He paid special attention and went far and beyond what most would. His actions and kindness actually made me cry and realize how horrible I had been to him and my company. He didn't know what had upset me so much to the point of not talking or barely acknowledging his efforts to make me happy, not only as a customer, but overall. However, it is obvious he cared and I didn't give one thought as to how his day was going. Things may not have been perfect in his world, but he didn't let me know it. He remained polite, courteous, and caring despite my rudeness. He saw a side of me that is rare but so unflattering and I can't apologize enough. The food looked delicious, smelled delicious, and was delicious, with the presentation being very appealing. The only thing bad that I can say about my experience at Zea is MY unreceptive, rude, distant attitude. Please give my heartfelt apologies to Joseph. I would love nothing more than to dine at Zea again with him as my waiter and be the kind of patron he deserves and return the kindness he...

Zea- Kenner Review. July 18- 1st Time in the City of New Orleans for my Rhode Island Family. My Family is important to me , my Sister in Law and husband ... we were treated Absolutely Fabulous and the Service and food was Beyond Fabulous!!! This is the Best Zea in New Orleans!

The worst is the Zea on 4450 Veterans Memorial blvd , metairie La 70006! Do not go to the Metairie location- unless you want subpar service and food. Because we wanted to have a better experience we took a chance and went to Zea in Kenner .... It was Outstanding... from the host Sheri Tomkiewicz to the entire Management staff and the waiter! Please if you want the best service and food go t the Zea in Metairie , LA! The Kenner Zea, listened to our report about the Veterans Zea... they were empathetic, gave us two free appetizers, the entire atmosphere was exceptional and off the chain.... my family from Rhode Island finally got a taste of delicious food and great customer service, I was finally able to say welcome to the Real New Orleans- Thanks to Zea in Kenner ....
