Cupcakes Bakery & Deli — Restaurant in Kennewick

I ordered a cake from this bakery several years ago when they were located downtown. Millie was also the baker at that time. The cake was a custom order for my daughters birthday. Her theme was candyland. I payed out the nose for the cake. When I went to pick it up, it was a mess! The cake looked like something a 5 year old had thrown together. My cousin did everything she could do to salvage the cake but it was terrible looking! Nothing like what we had ordered and the whole cake was just completely sloppy and showed a clear lack of any skill in cake decorating. The cupcakes at this store taste amazing. So if that's what you are after, definitely yes! But if you have a special occasion that you want a truly creative, unique, or beautiful cake for, do not place your trust in cupcakes! Even after I expressed my immense dissatisfaction, not only was I offered no compensation but I was expected to pay the massive amount of $150 for a cake that was not even close to comparable to the looks of a $20 cake from Safeway. We never returned and will never again....

I am so impressed! I am from Tri-Cities but live in Minnesota. I have really been wanting to get some cookies delivered to my dad for special occasions sometimes, but was bummed to see the lack of options over the past couple years. Thankfully, I found Cupcakes in a Google search, and was very happy with their selection, so I decided to give them a call and try to order. I reached the actual owner/baker on the phone, and she was so considerate. She quickly ascertained the type of cookie order I'd like to have, and custom-prepared a plate of wonderful cookies for my dad. She even hand-delivered them herself on the date that I picked, and that was a very special touch! She was very personable to me on the phone, and to my parents when they got to meet her for her delivery. The delivery charge was very reasonable. As for the cookies, my dad says they are awesome, delicious, scrumptious cookies... AND she added FOUR extra cookies to the dozen that I ordered!!! I am so happy with Cupcakes!...

This beautiful little family owned cupcake/soul food bakery and deli is THE hidden gem of Tri-Cities. In Kennewick ongoing 16 years and WELL DESERVING OF IT! We got cupcakes and three Mac Stacks sandwiches that normally come with coleslaw on sourdough which they had run out of for the third and substituted with three delishous pretzel buns with a sweet BBQ sauce. Hands down, best BBQ any of the 4 of us have had in Tri-Cities (coming from people who lived in the south)! With a side of potato salad and fries that were both better than any I've ever come across. Very friendly, accommodating, and homey service was provided. We got 6 gorgeous cupcakes, the 3 mouth watering sandwiches, and 4 waters was a total of only $65. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR FULL, HAPPY...
