I ordered chicken in brown garlic sauce, and 1 Chinese egg roll. The inner layer of my egg roll skin was partially raw. It was very gummy and doughy. Not like a real Chinese egg roll is traditionally made. I called and spoke to the owner and tried explaining to him and he started yelling back at me, telling me I was wrong when I'm holding a partially cooked egg roll he said this is how they are made. I've had many egg rolls and none of them were ever partially uncooked like the one I received in my order. So I tried explaining and asked the owner who was so down right mean and kept yelling viciously with a chip on his shoulder on the way the egg roll skin he claims is supposed to look doughy. It looked & tasted doughy and it was indeed raw underneath the outer skin layer. I askedthe mean owner to just credit me for 1 egg roll, then he starts yelling at me again, even more aggressively, then he hung up on me! I was so taken back by the owner's negative and aggressive attitude. The negative, aggressive owner who was so disrespectful in the way he treated me and accused me of being wrong when I was left with a partially raw egg roll. The owner and his wife are both very mean to their customers who pay high prices for food that is not worthy of the high priced items on their menu and the terrible way I was treated. I'll never order from this rip off joint again!! If anyone dares to try or continues to order from this rip off joint, be well aware how raw, or terrible tasting your order turns out, don't expect a credit on anything because the owners will just cop a horrendous negative attitude then hang up on you! I was a loyal customer since 1988. After how the mean owners treated me, I'll never go back nor refer this place to anyone. In fact, I'll spread my message on how Saigon Panda on 80th St Kenosha treated me so terrible and how they have a zero policy on refunds, credits or partial credits on uncooked food. The two owners are what give Saigon Panda a bad name with the worst service. There are other better Chinese restaurants in Kenosha that serve better quality FULLY COOKED food with a respectful nice owner(s) who will gladly credit you anything you order if there's a problem with it. Just imagine how their business could thrive if the mean owners would just treat their customers with respect and believe their customers when they have complaints. This business deserves to fail due to the mistreatment of their customers. They couldn't even credit 1 lousey egg roll that was mostly raw. The mean owners would much rather accuse their customers of being wrong and then hung up on. How does a business survive especially in today's economy. I'll be spreading the word everywhere on how this restaurant really treats...
Read moreI was happy to see we could dine in at this visit. That happy feeling began to dwindle when I saw a fly seater on the first table. I chose the table nearest the kitchen. The young man who took our order was a little nervous but still friendly and maintained a respectful distance. When our food arrived it was hot and looked appealing. When he brought the Pho it began wasting as he sat it in the table because he was trying to maintain social distance but offered nothing to wipe the spilled soup. There’s a screen showing the foods available and one of them was the House Fried Rice. We’ve had their shrimp fried rice takeout and it was good. The person who ordered the Pho did not like it and I went to the front where the young man was preparing takeout. I explained that we wanted to order the shrimp fried rice in place of the Pho, he was about to ring it up when, I guess the mom/female owner, immediately turned and said with a rude attitude and a wrinkled forehead, “we don’t have shrimp fried rice” then turned away. I gave a puzzled look and picked up the paper menu on the counter and asked the person with me if she would like something else on the menu to which her response was, “no, I’ll just eat what I have at home.” When we went back to the table I called the young man over and asked if they have shrimp fried rice and he nervously replied “we do!” I then asked for the check and to go boxes for our leftovers. We paid our bill and left. I really like the food, it’s always freshly made and the portions match the price, but that will be my last visit and I will no longer recommend Saigon Panda. The way that lady responded was uncalled for and an effort on her end could have been made. While eating my food I told the other person we should come back next week with our out of town guest who loves Vietnamese food, not anymore. Also, I ordered Kung Pao Shrimp but there were no peanuts. Therefore, my order was not correct; it’s usually right but that’s when I order...
Read moreTo whom it may concern at Saigon Panda, I attempted to patronize your business by ordering food from your restaurant through your pick up window during the month of December, 2020, but was sadly disappointed and disheartened to see inadequate and unsafe procedures in place, by your restaurant personnel. As you are aware, we are deeply immersed in a deadly pandemic! I wish that Saigon Panda would have more precautionary measures in place at your restaurant during this COVID-19 pandemic period, to prevent the spread of the virus. I felt the obligation to inform Saigon Panda that my family and I don't feel safe eating your food now because your staff is apparently not abiding by CDC Guidelines which requires you to wear a proper face mask while working in close contact with consumers. The person who handled my credit card and direct communications with me did not have a mask, did not wear protective gloves, and was not behind a shield while talking to me. It massively concerns me because I love your Vietnamese cuisine (one of my family’s favorite restaurants) and seeing inadequate attempts of promoting social distancing at the drive thru, makes me not want to patronize your business, even after the pandemic is over. I would hate to boycott your business just because your employees aren't seeming to care to protect their patrons. Furthermore, there are a lot of people, forced to work the front lines as nurses, caretakers and those working at businesses that are still open, who are coming to your restaurant, to and from work. I suggest you take this 6 feet of social distancing seriously, along with proper face masks and gloves to be worn at all times during the process of handling food and interacting with patrons, so we can move back to normality sooner. This seems to be such a small request to do for the community, otherwise you should shut your doors until this pandemic is over! Needless to say, my...
