I had been a member of Atlas Gym2 for over ten years, and I cant express how deeply disappointed I am with how my wife and I were treated by the morning staff last week. When I started working out at Atlas it was an awesome gym and everyone was great. We have made many friends and the atmosphere was like family. Over the past couple of years things started going down hill. People were not being respectful and were misusing the equipment. Over the past several months there has been an influx of people joining, mostly high school aged kids who are rude and smell like weed all the time. They have no respect for the equipment and things are breaking because of misuse. Being a long term gym member I know that members come and go, and I was willing to wait it out and see if things got better. However the other day the employee who opens the gym, and who I considered kind of a friend, took exception with my wife and her work out because his workout partner didn't like the type of workout she was doing and said was taking up too much space. I was in the locker room and could hear the employee yelling at her saying that he would give her her money back. When I told him not to talk to her that way, he said I could go too and said that he would also give me my money back. After leaving, we gave it a couple of days to let things cool down, and went to speak with the owner. While the owner did apologize for his employee's behavior, he did nothing to try and keep us as members and refunded us the remainder of our membership dues. Again I am not angry or mad about the situation just greatly disappointed. I still find it hard to believe that we would be asked to leave the gym, when the staff holds no one else accountable for...
Read moreAtlas gym two has all your standard commercial gym equipment, but what separates this gym from others is their specialty bars and strongman equipment. This is a hardcore asthetic gym. This was my initial review. The longer I went there to train the more problems I ran into. There were guys selling steroids in the locker room, fellow members having insane egos and starting shit for no reason. Examples. 1 member grabbed me by the forearm and randomly told me to stop talking to his girl whom I had never met before either of them. Another guy used to be super off putting and threaten people who talked to him. The final aspect is Don who said he didn't like me then tried to pull me over the desk to fight as an employee there when I asked for WD40. I would go there to lift Atlas stones once a week or every 2 weeks otherwise owning my own space lifting with other memberships. This gym is incredibly unwelcoming and unsafe especially if you're doing training out of the norm. It's clichey makes you feel like your walking on eggshells and egotistical in a bad way. If you do something the next day there will be 10-15 people up front reading newspapers gossiping about it talking shit. It's really sad because Rhett is an awesome guy and owner but the members there outside of Brody and gang and Patrick ruin it with insecurities and egos. Also Don should of been arrested for that. I train hard enough as it is and never needed more drama. I never filled charges and am capable of protecting myself anyway but that was a class 1 felony that was allowed to happen without punishment...
Read moreI’m new to this gym. I’ve heard nothing but good things from the reviews about the people that go there regularly. As someone with gym anxiety, I decided to try it out. I also got a personal trainer named Ania. This girl is the real deal. She knows when to push me and when to dial it back. She’s also a genuinely good person. After speaking with her, I found her to be INCREDIBLY knowledgeable in fitness AND nutrition which is immensely helpful. She knows more than anything I ever learned about nutrition in nursing school. She’s so passionate and it shows. She also offered the help of her fiancé Jacob to make sure I never miss a beat. If she was unavailable for whatever reason, he’d be there to take her place. These two live and breathe fitness and nutrition. Can’t recommend them highly enough. I know I’m going to reach my goals and then some with these two and the gym...
