China Star — Restaurant in Kenosha

I have 6 people in my family that I was supposed to feed. I would never ever recommend a place like this to no one!!! Very sad I work to hard to pay for food that has protein (BUGS) added to my food. Also, no taste to the food or its all stuck together in one big clump. I called them back to address them that I had these issues and my order was over $75.00. They said that their daughter would call me up due to them not understanding or speaking English. The daughter called and sounded like they were a child. I explained the issue and they would call me back after they spoke to the owner. Omg their response was $ 10.00 off my next order. WHAT !!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!! I Told the daughter have the owner contact me because this is just ridiculous!! They didn't call back so I called them the lady explained i don't understand. I don't understand English very well. You have got to kidding me! Then she hung up the phone rudely. NEVER GO BACK I RECOMMEND NOT A PLACE TO EAT !!!!! Unless you like the food I paid for...

So I work extremely close to this establishment. For lunch today I odered the beef and broccoli lunch special & a shrimp egg roll to go. The beef was fatty & chewy and tasted bland. The portion was very Skippy. About 3/4 rice and a big spoon full of beef and broccoli. As I'm eating the beef I find a thick black hair tangled in the beef. Eww... there goes my appetite.

I immediately bring the food back to the restaurant. She tells me she wants to make my food again. I disagree. I want a refund. She agrees, then says it's going to be 24 hours for the refund to post. Fine! She voids my whole order, then charges me $1.57 for the egg roll because I didn't return that as well. Kind if shisty but I get it they must not receive much business.

I have been coming here since 2017 and I absolutely love it! The lady who takes my order majority of the time, always has a smile on her and she is very pleasant! When I came here for lunch to just unwind and look at some different walls instead of my old office which was like a closet, she knew what I would order at every visit but sometimes I'd throw in a curve ball and order something different. The portions a great and the prices are great for the amount of food you get! Their food has always been very delicious and never anything to complain about!
