Evaroni's Pizza — Restaurant in Kenova

On 10/15/24 we visited Evaronis as we have done in the past many many times. We received our food, one pizza, one baked spaghetti, one order of mozzarella sticks and one order of garlic bread. The pizza was as it normally is 6 out of 10, the baked spaghetti (which I order at this location many many many times) was not good and only-two bites were taken(only reason a second one was taken was to confirm I wasn’t mistaken) the noodles were bland and cold underneath the cheese and was a mixture of grease and water. When we asked the waiter if we could have this item removed as it was not edible we were told that’s not something they do because the manager would not allow it. The manager came over(stating they were the owners sister) and said “we have not received any other complaints and we can’t remove it” we were offered a 25% off of the spaghetti which I do not think is fitting for something that was not ate or taken with us. The manager who came seemed very aggressive based on facial expressions when we brought these concerns to her. If you were to ask me on 10/14/24 or any day before that I would preach to the high heavens about how great of a place Evaronis is and would recommend it to anyone and everyone, going forward at this time based on how we were treated inside I do not recommend this...

Understaffed & continued seating one waiter with half the restaurant knowing it was physically impossible for him to serve that many people. The waiter Matt was personable when he did have time to tend to us. We were literally walking to get our own drink refills. Restaurant splits tips between all servers which is a terrible practice and does not encourage good service. Toppings like black olives were chopped up into tiny pieces that you could not taste, likely to increase profits. The crust was like eating cardboard. Sauce is too sweet for my liking as noted by others. As a surprise, I paid for someone else's ticket and told them to make sure they didn't charge her. Despite not being able to find her ticket, they made her pay again and she had to return to get a refund. When I called on my cell to discuss, they were rude and dismissive about it and never apologized. Very thankful I don't live here and have amazing pizza joints at home! To the owner, had no intention on writing a review until you or your staff was rude when calling to discuss the double charge. My children were eager to eat some Captain D’s on the way home back to Arkansas, but I wanted us all to try something different for once, so we were gonna try pizza instead. None of us had eaten pizza before so we were anxious, but excited. So we stopped at the nearest pizza place and it just so happened to be Evaronis. So, we sat down at the table by the fireplace and conversated about The Black Eyed Peas. Pico, my firstborn child, ordered water and I thought that was strange because he usually drinks buttermilk with his dinner. But I guess he was feeling dirty so he poured the water on himself at the table. “PICO!!!!” I screamed at him angrily. The waitress, however, was very patient and generous to help clean up the significant mess my child had made. Once the pizza came, we couldn’t wait to taste this new culinary masterpiece. We pulled out our chopsticks and began to eat. It wasn’t Captain D’s, but it was pretty good I guess.
