Absolutely unacceptable. I’ve been to BBQ Pete’s in Kent (6621 S 211th St, Suite 106) a few times before, and each visit, the customer service seems to get worse. Today sealed it!!! I paid for a BBQ pork sandwich and a drink. Afterward, I went for the complimentary ice cream, only to see a sign saying the machine’s down and to ask at the counter. No problem. I politely asked. Instead of a normal response, I got glared at by a tattooed staff member who snapped at me with a smug, accusatory, “Did you buy something or not?” I was stunned, I fact I thought he was joking, not by what he said, but how he said it. Condescending. Rude. Challenging. I replied, “Yes sir, want to see my receipt?” He rolled his eyes and sneered, “Heh, I guess not.” What?!?? I told him I didn’t appreciate his tone. He didn’t care. In fact, he came around the counter, physically came around, to confront me over ice cream and stare at me. Are you kidding me? I said, “Forget it, I don’t need the ice cream,” and turned to ask for a refund. Another staff member chimed in with, “Well, we usually charge $5 for those,” as if that made any of this okay. The guy just stared at me, no apology, no accountability, nothing. This is sad! I get having a bad day but this is out of line! This place doesn’t just lack customer service, imo it’s hostile. I will never be back. BBQ Pete’s in Kent has the single worst staff interaction I’ve experienced at any restaurant, anywhere, they should be ashamed! Avoid it like the plague, I know I will! Oh btw stopped at DQ got a better ice cream!

Excited to finally find accessible bbq in the PNW! Easy to park with lots of tables. Service was speedy and friendly. Prices were in line with other barbecue places around here (sides a bit on the high side). Got the 3 meat dinner (pictured): chicken was the least favorite as it was tender but not particularly flavorful; pulled pork had good flavor and soft texture (came with a drizzle of sauce so if you like to pick your own, ask for no sauce); pork ribs were smoky, juicy, and tender (favorite of the three). Cornbread muffin was fluffy, and the honey butter was a nice touch. The beans were good although might be on the sweet side for some. Also got the sliced brisket sandwich (not pictured) because we ate it too fast! Brisket was as soft as the bun it was served on and delicious. The complimentary soft serve was a perfect way to end the meal. Everyone has certain things they're looking for in bbq so it may not be your cup of (sweet) tea, but I look forward to the next visit!

I was craving for BBQ and chosen this place. I went to drive thru on the right side of the restaurant and ordered half slave ribs and half lb of brisket, side for BBQ beans and Loaded baked potatoes salad to take it home. When I ordered there, I waited in the usual parking lot and the employee carried what I ordered. The employees were very nice. The store looks casual and has picnic-style benches and tables outside. Well, I went home and tried BBQ. Compared to other BBQ places, Ribs here are thick and elastic and I was very satisfied. However, Brisket was disappointed because it was dry and sliced too thin. The taste, texture and appearance were poor. I wonder how delicious this Brisket would have been if it were a little thicker and had the sauce. I didn't have enough taste of BBQ sauce, so I added my BBQ sauce at home, but it didn't make sense what I went to the restaurant for. Next time, I would like to get extra BBQ sauce and eat Ribs again.

My taste buds are still singing from the incredible experience I had at BBQ Pete's! If you're a barbecue enthusiast like me, this place is an absolute must-visit.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the irresistible aroma of smoky goodness wafting from the kitchen. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with rustic decor that added to the authentic barbecue experience.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, where do I begin? Every dish I tried was a masterpiece of flavor and tenderness. The brisket practically melted in my mouth, the ribs were fall-off-the-bone perfection, and don't even get me started on the pulled pork—it was out of this world! And the sides? Let's just say they're not an afterthought here. From the creamy mac and cheese to the tangy coleslaw, each side dish was a delicious complement to the main event.

But what truly sets BBQ Pete's apart is the passion and skill of the pitmasters. You can tell that they take their craft seriously, putting in hours of slow smoking and careful seasoning to achieve barbecue perfection. And the result? Pure barbecue bliss.

The service was also top-notch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a recommendation. They made me feel right at home, adding to the overall fantastic experience.

In summary, BBQ Pete's is a barbecue lover's dream come true. If you're craving mouthwatering meats, flavorful sides, and genuine Southern hospitality, look no further. I'll definitely be coming back for more, and I highly recommend...

In an area where decent bbq (let alone good bbq) is non-existent, I am so grateful to have found this shining star of an establishment. As someone from Texas, they do BBQ right. Their menu is well thought out and every single dish I have ever gotten here has been lovingly put together and you can tell they know their way a round a smoker. I typically hate baked beans, theirs are AMAZING! I've never had beans like these and they are one of the many things that keeps me and my family coming back. Even back home, BBQ joint sides are typically something you leave on the plate, but not here-all are AMAZING! Pro-tip, heat up the potato salad, you won't regret it. I could rave about all of it,the array of amazing sauces, fall apart ribs, and the always juicy brisket-and a free soft serve machine to boot!-but just as amazing as the food, is the staff and service. I have been coming here for years and Vanessa and her team never let me down. I have on several occasions placed last minute large orders when family has been in town and Vanessa in particular always goes above and beyond. All of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and are always great about recommendations or letting you know when new menu items are added that us regulars might miss (hello mac and cheese, where have you been all my life). This is the ONLY place in the Seattle area for BBQ and they do such an awesome job serving up great BBQ with authentic southern...
