Bent Tree Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Kent

1/2/2020 I have come here a few times every so often when other coffee shops are crowded. This place is suppperrr bougie and does have a very nice atmosphere! Very kind barista and management they pay close attention to detail However; recently I have seen a few flaws. First, they are extremely over priced for the small amount coffee they serve. I have had many vanilla lattes in my life and I am not sure if the beans were burnt or the syrup was bad but its was one of the most fowl drinks I've ever received. I had to throw it away... Meaning I had wasted around $5.00 plus tip on a drink for nothing. :(

1/7/2020 After seeing the comments made about my review by the owner I, unfortunately, will be editing my review and instead of giving 3 stars I will be dropping it to a 1 star. As a CUSTOMER to this establishment leaving a fairly kind and genuine review based on the customer service and the product that was given to me. (no bias given and zero incentive from my company) The company owner took it upon themselves to use my place of work as an insult towards me. Trying to make my review look as though it was made on purpose. I simply came here to try the coffee and experience something different. My mom came into to town while she was working near here in her office as she had some downtime. I hadn't seen her in weeks and thought it would be great to grab some coffee and catch up with our lives. Pulled up the nearest coffee shop and this was at the top, so we went. The atmosphere and the service was absolutely amazing. Smelled decent, look clean and organized, everyone was in a good mood. Ordered our drinks and we went outside to enjoy them and have a yap session. Yea no, the first sip of coffee immediately dragged me out of the great mood and I was actually extremely disappointed. I ordered hazelnut cold brew and it tasted way too sweet with this weird fruity base to it. Felt like I was drinking an expired fruit drink not a hazelnut coffee. My mom ordered just a basic Americano and hers tasted bitter to the core with a way too sweet base. We just threw it in the trash and went to Starbucks because it seriously ruined our whole morning 😭 I hate to sound dramatic, but I take my coffee seriously and I really just wanted to have a nice time with my mom and was instead met with disappointment. I didn't even have any expectations...

unfortunately this was the worst cappuccino i have ever had 💔 it lacked in every area. it was too hot, no microfoam, flavor of espresso was bitter had no tasting notes/flavor. Barista didn’t ask if i was taking it for here or to go, so unfortunately i got the drink in a paper cup. The photo of the drink is before i even had a sip. no latte art. no care given into making a something they are proud of, i assume this is why they automatically put my drink in a to go cup

dining area is small and there’s tons of people in and out that are working, roasting, and customers grabbing coffee. the energy is lively! it’s nice

it was super busy! i’m hoping they can figure out how to roast better coffee and train their baristas!!!!
