Honestly, I did have fun, but this place was medium terrible. Even just the set up of the bar itself is bizarre and makes for a tiny dance floor and tiny crowded corridors where you can hardly move then you realize half the one side of the bar is empty but the people are crammed in all the wrong places. We waited at the bar for 50 minutes with no service then when we finally do get to the dance floor, the DJ is completely tone deaf. We went on October 21st, 2023 and I'm sure they have new DJs all the time, but there was no excuse to have this guy playing a new song every 10 seconds and then cutting the music with every beat drop. We were trying so hard to make it fun that we literally laughed that it wasn't fair to the DJ that we were giving him such unauthentic feedback by looking like we were having a good time. If I was given the task of describing 157 with one word, it would be, in a word, Exquisite. From the moment my wife and I walked in I knew I was in for a good night, from the dark ambience graced with the twinkling yet stunning lights, to the friendly faces that surrounded me, this place has it all. I was particularly impressed with the famous White Claw Crazy shots, which had my wife and I glued to the bar for most of the night. The sushi was impossibly fresh. The chef’s precision and artistry were evident in every roll. Even the rice was extraordinary—warm, perfectly seasoned, and just the right texture to complement the fish. Every bite was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures.
