Taco Tontos — Restaurant in Kent

I don't think I could explain how much I love Taco Tonto's in Kent with words. This place is so great and the vibes are always immaculate. The employees are friendly and cool and the menu is... Well.... It can be daunting if you've never been there before! Every staff member I've ever talked to has been incredibly helpful and answered every question with ease.

If you've never been to downtown Kent, there are endless parking places and parking lots all within walking distance.

The interior is a pretty tight squeeze and if you don't do well with a lot of people and it's a busy time of day I would suggest ordering ahead of time!

I am vegan and there are so many different options. I think that the vegan seitan is my favorite that I've ever had. I always do a burrito bowl but they run some pretty great specials not only for their brunch but periodically throughout the month too! I suggest following them on Facebook because they update almost daily.

Some other must tries are the vegan queso, the vegan sour cream, and the citrus cilantro sauce! Their guac is also amazing.

It's in downtown Kent on the street that closes down for DORA and I can honestly say there's nothing better than a beautiful summer night eating Taco Tonto's on one of the many many picnic tables and then walking...

I have loved this place since I was a little girl. So happy to see that it’s only gotten better over time. Huge shoutout to the employees I saw tonight, Chris and Troy. They were incredibly kind and attentive, but this is not unusual- I’ve always had such a positive experience with their staff. I don’t know where they keep finding these golden retriever-like employees, but well done! The food- absolutely superb. So deliciously prepared, it’s downright sinful in the best way. The margaritas are always fantastic, too. But the main centerpiece is their house made sauce. I’m almost certain that the secret ingredient HAS to be crack because I can’t stop eating it. Deducting 3 stars for the last 3 times we tried to visit Taco Tantos for their "special" which occur daily mind you. Each time we visited at a reasonable hour (4-5pm) only to find they had not prepared enough of the "special" but we could order from the regular menu. Which we did, except for the last time. We called ahead and were told our order would be ready in a half hour. Perfect! Upon arrival (40 minutes because they're usually a little behind) we were informed that infact run out of the special but they could prepare something else in 30 minutes. They had our number, they could have easily called back to let us know. Well, that was it for us. They need to do better. Like posting when they actually run out of an item or employees knowing when they do for ordering.
