Ezell's Famous Chicken — Restaurant in Kent

Well this place is easy to find. For 2 Kiddie meals and one adult meal it was about $24 that did not include the drinks. To be honest I am not a food connoisseur or have the best palette, but I know what my taste buds appreciate and that is a variety of foods smells and textures. This did not hit the mark unfortunately. The fries seemed uncooked and we're not warm when we receive them. The chicken was just okay. I was actually surprised that none of the staff was black considering the original Ezell's location was in the heart of the Central District in Seattle. I have heard over the years they sold the restaurant so that did make me feel a little sad to know the original Roots were no longer there. I think the original owner kept all his recipes and that was not a part of the deal and that's unfortunate because this food was not my thing . My son even complained about not liking the chicken and he loves chicken. The wait was about 10 minutes to get our three meals. I overheard the cashier telling several customers the wait was 25 minutes. Sad but I have to give this place to Stars, they can do...

Every since Ezell Stephens had to give up his restaurant name and ownership and change his name to heaven sent.....the Ezell franchises have forgotten what customer service means. Ezell’s of Kent,Wa. Had customers including myself waiting over 36 minutes and more for simple snack pack and dinner combo orders. Myself o was waiting 38 minutes. 6 otter customers came after me and got their orders within 3 minutes. Customers whom were there before me were still waiting as well. The employee in the green shirt IGNORED me when I asked about my order,but when 2 employees came in,he quickly attended to them and got them out the door with their order. Maybe cuz I’m BLACK,due to a Caucasian lady cane in after me and was waiting long as well,but when she asked,he made her order in the spot. No 1 seemed to be willing to service customers in a timely fashion. No apology,I asked for my funds back, when I asked the manger why the guy is not going in order,he said he didn’t know and he’d look into it. This is not the first incident at this location,Renton is also bad...

Update July 29th, 2019. Tried to get some spicy chicken at 7:45 PM no more spicy chicken being cooked for the night. WTF? Okay let me get some regular chicken. Only white meat. WTF.

JUST CLOSE YOUR DOORS EZELL'S CHICKEN IN KENT, WASHINGTON. YOU MAKE THE OTHER EZELL'S CHICKEN LOOK BAD!

This Kent, Washington "Ezell's Famous Chicken" restaurant is the worst period! There is not one thing right about this Ezell's Chicken and I grew-up eating from the first Ezell's in the Central District on 23rd and Jefferson.

The Ezell's in Kent, if the chicken isn't too dark from not changing the grease it is cooked in, it is the peach cobbler that comes in a 2/3 full clear lided bowl with more sugar and crust than peaches.

I could write more negative experiences about the Ezell's in Kent, but I would ask if anyone with transportation and time to try the Ezell's in Tacoma, Bothell, or Lynnwood, Washington.
