I been ordering food from here for about 15 years. In the last 6 months or when the new owner have taken over, It has never been the same. I have always compared Kings Teriyaki to other places and always bragged about how good it was to other people but now with the new changes / owners everything seem to be skimped on and quality and quantity is gone. Before when I order a large spicy chicken Breast teriyaki. It would be enough for a second meal. I have order twice in the last week thinking it might be the chef or something went wrong. Not only has it not tasted as fresh as before but the portions from normal to there large size is no different. I order my wife chicken Breast teriyaki and I large spicy chicken Breast teriyaki and there absolutely no difference quantity of meat from a normal order to a large for $3.00 more. This is really frustrating because I didn't mind pay the extra money for good quality Chicken Breast Teriyaki. Its just not there anymore. I have read a lot of review and I can see there are a lot of long time people that are dealing with the same issue. Basically it gone from great quality Teriyaki / exceptional serving sizes for there prices. To subpar meat / small serving sizes with the high price tag. They have remolded the inside incredibly but not the food. REALLY REALLY SAD to see. This is very hard for me to write this review.... But had to put my opinion out there because of the...
Read moreUpdate: Dec 17th 23- Just hasn't been as good lately. Ingredients Cooked unevenly, veggiem7⁷ hot sauce too saucy and not hot, tastes more like a spicy sweet and sour sauce, throwing off the whole dish.
Previously Finally- quality Teriyaki you can trust. Open late. These Guys just get it.
Order was ready 5 minutes from placing the order, and they had multiple other customers coming and going.
I have tried yakisoba from all over the country and this was some of the best, for a take out/fast order joint. I'm one of those weirdo tofu+veggies guys but my wife had chicken and it was also fantastic.
I ask for my tofu a bit well done and they did it perfectly. I like that they add a side of rice included as some/most places do. The broccoli was fresh and deep green. Zucchini. Fresh mushrooms I am not a fan but could tell they were quality as well. The sauce was a perfect balance of light and flavorful. A little more cabbage and carrots and some peppers would have been nice, but you can't have it all perfectly.
The price was a bit steep but totally worth it they deserve to make a bit more when doing everything with quality, and staying open until midnight.
They have a really nice and clean bubble tea setup as well.
I am willing to bet all their food is fantastic, but have not tried it all yet, but I will be coming back....
Read moreI have been coming here for over 20 yrs. My favorite teriyaki place from Seattle- Tacoma. I remember when the new owners took over and the food was the same. Prices went up - ok - Understandable Service was still friendly - portions were the same. Well fast forward a few months and what happened to the food? Starting with the rice - not the same, not even similar. I'm not sure what type of rice is being used but it's not the usual sticky rice. Steamed Veggies all over the small scoops of rice? Why? Doesn't taste good smothered on the rice and was unexpected. They could atleast go on the side. She says they can't serve salad / cold veggies due to the pandemic because of germs? Weird - taco time and others are still serving cold veggies and salad. So I believe there's some misinformation there. Otherwise - friendly service, good chicken & portions. Suggestion : Because King's has been here so long - people like me were known by name. If you want to be successful in this location and keep the very large clientele that Kings has thrived on for years, I would make a recommendation that you go back to square one. Same product - no changes in the products. It's just a suggestion, coming from a business wise entrepreneur and longtime customer....
