HA!TEA Bubble Tea House — Restaurant in Kent

Great bubble tea, but with one major flaw (UPDATED).

The bubble tea itself was great! The tea was smooth, the flavor was excellent, and the boba pearls were freshly made. However, the drinking experience itself was a bit of an issue. I had the hardest time trying to get the boba through the straw. I had a 20 minute trip home and by that time I would have been mostly if not completely done with the drink; however, I could only get through less than half. After lifting up my straw, I realized that most of the boba pearls were not separated, meaning that at any given moment two or three boba pearls were trying to make their way through the straw. This makes it nearly impossible to have a smooth drinking experience.

I loved the look of the place, the service was fast, and the tea itself was great. Either this was simply a troublesome batch of boba or they're going to need to get bigger straws.

Love that there’s lactose free milk and the sweetness level is just right for me. The variety of popping pearls is the most that I’ve seen anywhere - my favorite are the yogurt ones. I highly recommend the sparkling teas during the summer. The limited time salted kumquat lemon tea is refreshing and the most flavorful I’ve had so far. It’s pairs amazingly well with coconut jelly - an appreciated addition recommended by the owner. The citrus flavor brings back childhood memories of growing up in Southern California, back when bubble tea was first becoming popular. The owner’s command and availability of a wide variety of flavors and fresh, high quality ingredients sets it apart from any bubble tea I’ve had in Ohio. HA!TEA is a must try for every bubble...

This is one of the most adorable and eclectic tea stops I've ever been to! The moment you walk in, you get a warm amd friendly aura about the place. I will say- if you plan on bringing a lot of friends be prepared to be stepping on some toes. It's not the largest establishment, but it definitely makes up for it with it's exotic drink selection and quirky seating arangements. I was so surprised at how reasonable the drinks were when it quickly came time for me to order. I was able to get both my sister and I a decent sized drink with just some spare dollars in my wallet. Ordering was a bit intimidating, as the menu was written in a very small font and I'm genetically inferior optically. All I can say is come on in and get an adorable taste of the bubble...
