We decided to try Saya based on good reviews. We were not disappointed. It’s casual restaurant with Thai/Teriyaki/Pho. There’s no fancy decorations. Just straight forward food and service. We aimed for Thai this time. The pad Thai was decent. We enjoyed the green curry as well. The amount of rice which comes with the order was not much. Wish a bigger rice bowl is offered. The service was very courteous and friendly. We appreciate their flexibility to substitute certain ingredients.

Updated review 6/25: This visit during lunch was very disappointing. Almost seems like it’s totally different ppl running the restaurant. Upon entering, there’s no one to greet us or seat us for a while. After seating, we couldn’t even get an eye contact for service for about 15 minutes. We almost gave up to go somewhere else. The prices have gone way up from previous and the quality has gone down at the same time. Presentation wasn’t appetizing either. The pad won sen was lame. Mostly noodles with very little meat. Taste was far too sweet. And, of course, no one cares if we liked our food or if we need anything else. From beginning to end, there was no smiles, no cheers. All we’ve heard was the older waitress complaining loudly about other customers. Needless to say, this will be our...

Their seafood drunken noodles is the best that I have ever tasted. Staff is always friendly and fast service.

Update (8/18/23) - Since I don't work in Kent anymore, today was the first time in a year that I visited this restaurant. I have been longing for some seafood drunken noodles and there is no place that makes it as good as this restaurant. The reason why I dropped one star is because they had cut back on the basil, and I could barely taste the basil. I waited about 10 minutes in line to place my to-go order. There were two other customers waiting in line to place their to-go order. The phone rang 3 times, and each time, the lady took the phone order right away instead of helping the customers who were already in line and waiting. I understand that they don't want the customer to hang up the phone and lose business, but customer who is physically in the restaurant waiting already can easily just walk out. I would have if I didn't want to go to the 99 ranch market down the road. I received better service from the young man and young girl who normally worked...

I love the foods there so far however the atmosphere for me was so awkward and uncomfortable. I will never set my foot there anymore . That Asian lady, i don't know if she the owner ,was so nice to me as a customer but so rude and disrespectful toward a worker and that's my second time hearing and seeing how she treated him. I know he is not Asian because he looks like he white , at the end of the day that doesn't give you the right to treat your workers as they are your slaves .I am black and I can tell you that i am no body slave . Before i got a Boeing job i used to work at immigrants only work place and no one never treat their employees like she did . We all human please have some respect for one another .

I hope this review gets to you and you can reflect on how to treat people and everyone else better as they are human being. How would you feel if you had a boss like yourself . Put yourself on his shoes , having your manager always on your back .,telling you if you break something you will get sent home like he is one of your kids . That is...

The secret ingredient in their karaage chicken is sleeping pills because I was out like a burned bulb after eating this. Accusations aside, I would really like to know how they do it because it would not be hyperbole to call this the best karaage chicken I’ve had. Maybe it’s not a traditional pass at the dish, I think it’s caught somewhere between fried chicken and karaage, but whatever it is, it is a new creation standing proud on its own. America might be a failing state so I elect the creator of this dish to be president of everything. The other dishes available at Saya are well priced, well portioned, and well, very good. I’m sure this has to do with just how great all the staff are, a labor of love I am keen to highlight. This is a hidden gem and must be protected at all costs.

I'm in need of a good Thai restaurant in Kent near my house, and this place popped up on my search. Read a lot of good reviews, so I have to give it a try. And oh boy, am I glad to have found this hidden gem. Placed my order on my way home from work, got there about 20 minutes later and the food was being packed. I ordered that famous chicken karaage, grilled chicken, pad see ewe, and chicken pad thai. All were delicious, my only thing was that I wish the pad thai has a bit more sauce to it. The chicken karaage was moist and crispy, cooked to perfection. They use boneless skinless chicken thighs which was different, but in a good way. I will def be back to try out more stuff on the menu, that's for sure since this place is so close to my house.
