Tonight my husband and I decided to give Amante’s another try after the last 3 times of being very disappointed. We use to love their Sicilian pizza until about 8 months ago when we ordered our favorite Sicilian for dine in and when it was brought to our table and dished up we were shocked to see that our pizza was soggy to the point when we went to put a piece on our plates all the toppings fell off. The crust was so thin toward the middle and end that it just went limp. We couldn’t even pick it up and eat it like a normal slice of pizza. We had to eat every slice with a fork. We thought this was just a fluke until we tried it again a couple months later and it was the exact same way. At that time we decided to say something to our waiter who apologized immensely and explained that the Sicilian needs to be cooked longer than most pizzas and that it must not have been the last couple times. We thought the problem was resolved until tonight when we decided to give it one last try. Unfortunately it was as bad or worse than the last couple times. We talked to our waiter again just to get the same excuse. At this point the waiter tells us that he is going to go talk to the OWNER. We figured since he was going to go talk to the owner that he/she would come out and talk to us but to our surprise she did not. She had him relay a message to us that she was surprised and had never had this complaint before. Hmmm interesting since we had complained once before. Don’t you think as the OWNER that you would want to get off your high horse and come out to see exactly what the issue is and talk to your customers that are trying to tell you that there is an issue with your product so you can fix it. No she just stood behind the counter being non productive. After tonight she lost a customer! We will not be back! I hope your “I don’t give a crap” attitude was worth losing a...

1st time Diner with husband. AMBIENCE: Dark, open space, reminded of old pizza huts, and nicely say in my deep-southern way "a hole-in-the-wall-worthy-of-any-foodie! Bathroom was more bar & lounge- I would have rated 5-star had it not been for this WAITER: Curtis- courteous, attentive, a gourmet-cuisine-mannered - found mostly in $$$$. Pleasantly surprised! WINE: Loved the Cardinale Sweet Red, nice change from typical wine offerings. FOOD: COMPLETELY 5-STARS! I had Curtis' favorite, Alfredo Fromaggio w Meatballs(no Gorgonzola, extra Mozzarella). W-O-W!!! Hubby had classic Lasagna- smaller portioned than mine, he rated it a 4-Stars. PRICE: Unusually low by about $4 per entree (amazing if you don't expect the usual FILL-EM-UP-BEFORE-MEAL items, ie. Breads, salads, appetizers). Shocking, when Curtis told us about their current coupon offering (buy two pasta entree's, get 1 @ 1/2 price!!! That's just unbelievable!

SUMMARY: Overall great experience. Knock-out food. Amazing wait staff. Wine, Entree, & Tip & Leftovers....under $40!!! We have plans to drive out of our way for this True-to-Form gourmet pizza & pasta. Next time, we will bring our Italian family.

Thank you, Curtis & Compliments...

Pizza never arrived, waited two hours. Called for updates and was told that the delivery driver was missing and couldn't be find. No offer to send a new pizza to me. Getting a refund was a nightmare and took weeks, it should have been automatic.

Amante's response was EVEN WORSE than than the underlying situation. They initially had no intention of either delivering the pizza OR giving me a refund. No one bothered to call me with an update. I called several times for an update and was placed on hold for ten minutes when I did reach someone.

I then asked for a refund and was put on hold for another 15 minutes, and then the employee begrudgingly offered a refund. The refund never came though. I had to call and pester them for THREE WEEKS to get a refund. At about week three, they told me they could not issue a refund directly, I'd have to get it through their web checkout company, even though it was the Amante driver who never arrived.

They never said sorry or took any responsibility for the mistake. Completely unprofessional, they lost a long-time customer. Please spend your money somewhere that treats its customers with honesty...

We weren't sure about going on as there was only 1 car in the lot at 520pm on Sunday. Was also the Sunday after daylight savings time. Waiter was very friendly and cheery. Recommended cheese bread or mozzarella sticks from happy hour. We got both but forgot to take pictures. Offered a small sample of the wine on HH. Pizza looked good around us but we went with 1 BBQ chicken calazone, chicken parm and a tortillini special that had bacon and peas. Friend also ordered HH Greek salad that was large! She also ordered the fries with feta. There was no other seasoning so I recommended maybe adding some fresh chopped garlic and Italian seasoning with splash of olive oil with be yummy addition. The tortillini could have used a little more seasoning in the sauce. Business picked up while we were there including a large family group. They only had the 1 waiter with a few other staff behind the counter. He managed the dining room well but was on his toes. Glad we stayed VS going to large chain up the road and to support local small family business

We love this place and don't really understand why it's not constantly packed!! To be fair, the prices are fairly steep for pizza, but it is absolutely amazing and the ingredients are all the freshest and the best!! We haven't ventured through much of the menu because we found a few pizzas that we loved from the beginning and can't help but order those every time we go in. Seriously, if you want a great pizza with the best ingredients, give them a try! This is by far our favorite pizza place in Washington, and we go at least once every couple weeks since discovering it. PS- I will say that the service is a bit slow occasionally but they just aren't staffed for a ton of tables since they seem to be fairly slow. The staff is very friendly and courteous if if they play multiple roles in the restaurant. We're always happy with our experience. One other note though- I did order wine once and haven't since because it was a house wine, I got about 4oz and it was $6. Decided not to have after that again. Not worth it.

In a Sunday evening, I was looking for dinner in Kent WA. Heading to a different restaurant, I saw Amante's sitting quietly in the rain. I went in and was the only customer. I was the only customer for my whole visit. I dined in. I ordered a Supreme pizza. It came out quickly, since I was the only customer, that was good. The waitress was Joey. A young lady professionally friendly. She talked lightly when I asked questions and left me alone to eat. The pizza was just OK. Nothing great. I don't do spicy and something in the pizza has some kick, probably the sauce. It wasn't too hot to eat but more than a normal pizza should have. The crust was uneven. Thick at the edge and really thin in the center. The center would not hold the food on it. The center of the pizza was also soggy. I don't care for soggy crust. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The cheese was real mozzarella. For what it was, with tip, I felt it was a bit too expensive. This was a $12 pizza at best.
