STOP THE PRESSES. SOUND THE DEEP DISH ALARMS. CHICAGO HAS OFFICIALLY INVADED SOMERSET — AND IT BROUGHT PIZZA.
As a certified, sauce-in-my-veins Chicagoan, moving to Somerset had me in a full-blown pizza crisis. Five weeks. FIVE. WEEKS. Of wandering this pizza wasteland, surviving on crust imposters and sauce impostors, questioning my entire existence 😂
Then... like a glorious mirage sent from the pizza gods themselves, we passed EUBANKS PIZZA...this unassuming little joint — the kind of place that looks like it was built with mozzarella and dreams. We walked in. We ordered. And then... the heavens opened.
One bite. ONE. And I swear, I heard a faint "Da Bears" in the distance 🤣
The cheese? A mozzarella symphony that could heal broken hearts. The crust? Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside — like a tough guy with a poetry blog. The sauce? So legit I almost apologized to myself for ever doubting Somerset.
This wasn't just pizza. This was home. It was like getting a pizza hug straight from the Windy City. I could almost hear the gun shots in the background (If you know you know) 🤣😂
If this pizza is this good, I can only assume their Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich will slap so hard it'll make me vote for it in the next mayoral election.....TWICE!
SOMERSET, YOU'VE BEEN SAVED. GREAT PIZZA...

I'm not sure if it was a bad day for them or what but after waiting 25 minutes in the parking lot, an employee came out and said it was burned and they had to re-do it. Offered me a free cheesestick for waiting. 10 minutes later two pizza boxes were brought out. The " cheesestick" was just kind of odd. It was basically pizza dough with thick, thick mozzarella cheese melted on top, in some places it was 1/2 inch, then cut into rectangles. Wasn't appetizing to look at and not at all what I think of for cheese sticks. If you like pizza dough and cheese then it would be great.
The pizza was similar, too much cheese, not enough other ingredients. I had also asked that it be browned on top to carmelize the cheese a little bit, and it was barely cooked. It just didn't taste very good either. Not very flavorful.
I hate to leave negative reviews, especially for a small business, so I'm just going to say that I hope this was a fluke, a one-off bad experience. Their customer service was good. Unfortunately, I won't return to give it a second chance as it was too expensive to take another shot and be...
Read moreI've been to this establishment a handful of times. The pizza isn't anything outstanding but never made me sick...and in this day and age that's saying something. My biggest complaint would have to be the quality of their cheese - they definitely use CHEAP cheese. You can tell its cheap from the taste as well as the way it separates and slides off the dough, and you can see there is an air pocket between the dough and cheese. Despite this I was hungry yesterday and didn't feel like cooking dinner and thought that pizza would be a good option. Boy was I wrong! I ordered a large cheese pizza and small cheese pizza. I ate 3 pieces of the large and about 5 to 10 minutes after I felt EXTREMELY bloated. Over the next hour my bloating didn't subside and I began to have stomach pain. Another hour or so and I wound up in the bathroom for at least 45 minutes the first time and then 3 more times after that. DEFINITELY...
