China Max Express — Restaurant in Kentwood

China Max Express... Thank you for re-opening! My family has missed the quality food and friendly service that you always provided at the RiverTown Mall... and now you're back and better than ever! I was on my way to someplace else when I noticed your restaurant was now open, and decided to swing in to see what you had on the menu. I ended up getting the orange chicken and lo mien noodles, because they looked so good... and WOW! the food was awesome! Even better than I remember. The orange chicken was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sauce was so good, with a nice, bright orange flavor. The noodles are the best I've had in years. With more tender noodles and more veg mixed in than most places, and a delicious flavor that is Soooo much better than from other places I've had recently. And to top it all off, the owners and employees are very friendly, and welcoming, and treat you like they appreciate your business... something you just don't find everywhere these days. Employees were very friendly, service was perfect. Food tasted delicious, but was far too sweet. I could tell there was too much sugar added to everything, including the crab rangoons. Obviously, the food was great, but the use of plastic containers for hot food in any capacity is enough to turn me away as plastic disrupts our bodies hormone levels. I noticed plastic wrap lining the rice container too, which puts people at great risk for long term health consequences. Overall, all restaurant standards should be improved for the health of our nation and the world 🌎 🙌

I was excited for this place to finally open. I was not let down one bit when I finally got to try it. The menu style is much like Panda Express you can get à la cart or a combo. But the thing is, the quality is way better and price is the same. I got the combo with orange chicken and noodles, then a side of crab Rangoons. All the sauces have a very rich flavor. They taste like they are made fresh in house. The citrus flavor in their sweet and sour sauce

Try this place! They won’t disappoint. I’m never going back to panda express as long as this...
