Two strikes and I'm done.
Went in and ordered a cheeseburger & salad bar. One hour later, it still had not arrived. Noticed the person in front of me got up and left after he had still not received his food as well. Let me say, however, the server was very polite and kind, and I believe she did put the order in, it just took a long time for the kitchen to process. I went to the register and asked to pay for my salad bar only, since I was out of time on my 1hr. company lunch period. I offered to pay for the salad, but the meal was comped, and all was well when another server yelled "DON'T FORGET TO TIP YOUR WAITRESS"! (Like I'm some kind of snot nosed kid that needs lessons in his manners). I ended up leaving a tip on credit card after remembering I had used the last of my cash to tip at a place the day before. Each time before that, I had tipped my waitress at Jerrie's at least 50% of the bill, because I, too, had been employed a server in my teens and now lucky enough to have a well paying job that affords me the ability to thank someone with an OK tip that may or may not make them a little happier during their shift. I don't need a random waitress to make a scene in front of people and attempt a lesson in social grace after I waited an hour to only eat some lettuce.
2nd matter is that they have a "flea market" area at the front, with random items with prices on them. I found an old projector and a box of film, both of which had prices labelled. Took them up to the front to pay, and was shot down with "leave your number and we'll call you when we decide to sell it". Never heard back. I mean, hey, there's a price on it and its in the for sale section, so what gives? Despite this, I went back, and got treated as above. The place may have good intentions, and some of the servers are kind, but there's MANY other good places to eat in Kermit. My hour lunch is a precious break, and I don't enjoy having to go hungry and then get yelled at...
Read moreI waited for about 15 minutes for someone to clean off a table so I could sit down even though there was over half the tables were vacant but not cleaned off.
When I finally got a seat I ordered a sweet tea and that took another 10 minutes to reach the table. At that time the waitress took my order. The sweet tea was very good I must say.
I ordered fried shrimp, fried mushrooms and french fries which I requested to be crispy.
The salad bar had no plates or bowls and when I did get one it was dirty and I am not talking about soup rings ...it had hardened food stuck to it.
It took over 45 minutes for my food to get there and I had to walk to the kitchen to get my tea refilled.
When my food finally arrived the 6 small shrimp was obviously frozen and when they cooked them the inside of the crust was still pasty.
My ten or twelve french fries was soggy. and the Mushrooms was over cooked .
Cost me $21 to experience all this.... ...
Read moreWe’ve been eating at Jerry’s for YEARS. Today was absolutely the worst experience we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Went into Jerry’s just me and my husband, we were warned that they were short staffed that it could take some time. Okay cool no biggie, we ordered 1 hamburger steak and 1 chicken fried chicken and an order of cheese sticks. As the time goes by more people arrive. (5 different tables) about 10 minutes after one of the tables had already gotten their food, we thought okay maybe they just had an easy order but when all 5 different tables get their food before us we’re frustrated and go to pay out our drinks. One hour of waiting just to find out our order was NEVER put in, like I’m sorry what?! We mentioned how we had been there an hour just to find out they weren’t even gonna cook our food. Honestly disappointed and...
