Food was good. The lady at the front counter though was not very friendly (nicely put). So I got a to-go box so I can fill it myself and eat it at the hotel. Well, my buddies told me that you just go ahead and fill it and then pay for it (first time at this place). Well, I filled it, went over to pay (supposedly $9 and some change and that's it). Well I got to the counter, she opens my food container, makes sure I did not get any sea food in it ($2 extra for sea food, all the sea food was out on the buffet table anyways and they said it would have taken another 15 minutes for more!), closed it back up and said "that's $11.90". I looked at her with question marks in my eyes and she said: "Well, I saw you push it down so you can get more in it. That's more than normal so it's $2 extra, it should be more like $4 extra! You can check with any other place in town but we are still the cheapest." I did not say anything, paid and walked out. I don't mind paying more if that's the rules but there is no measurement for how much, as long as you can close the lid easily, that's the one price you pay? Not sure how that works without even weighting it?! And the other thing in question is: it's Kermit, TX - there is only like three places to go eat, no other chinese place that I know of?! Not sure where the...
Read moreLet me tell you, if anyone thinks this place is great they probably eat Frozen dinners all the time! The place is obviously old and spooky, it was like I was eating in a ghost town and this was the last restaurant left. Waiter was nice. Buffet was limited on options even for a small town. I got Beef and Broccoli and the Beef was Unedable (chewy), and the temperature of the food was cold🧊. The Shrimp mix was ok, fried rice average and noodles the same. Overall the experience left me feeling unsatisfied but full. I would NOT go back to this place and would not recommend coming. They need to do some major changes before these doors are shut...
Read moreThis restaurant was a bit disappointing at first, but then they put fresh food on the buffet bars, and it got much better. They really need food discriptions on the top of each glass above the food. Especially for those allergic to certain foods. For example: I'm allergic to peppers, and my husband is allergic to chicken. (Some things can be mistaken for other foods), and I can't always tell pepper chicken when it's not seen. The food, once put out fresh, was delicious. The service was done very well. They do use plastic cups, but they kept them filled, for the most part. Good service. Pricing wasn't bad for...
