Rude, inconsiderate staff!!! When ordering our sandwiches, my husband asked about vinegar and oil, the lady at the register said they have Italian which has vinegar and oil and spices. We asked what about just vinegar and oil and a lady from the back yelled that they don't have it. We said they used to, and she rudely said she would go ask her boss, then quickly came back to happily inform us she was right, no vinegar and oil. We placed our order and one of the sandwiches had mayo on it although the menu didn't say it came with mayo. My teenage son took it up to the counter and advised what was wrong. The same rude girl said "so I guess you want me to remake this?!" He said yes and when she brought the new sandwich to the table, she set it down and then threw the napkins down on the table. My husband asked her if she was okay, she said sarcastically, "everything's fine, just a long day, you know" and he told her there was no reason to throw the napkins on the table, and she walked off and said "God bless." We asked for the manager and shared the experience with him, he apologized, but we told him our family have been frequent visitors there and never been treated like that. We told him he won't be back as long as she is...
Read moreI have been passing by this place for a long freaking time. I kept telling myself that I need to try it. Well I finally did it and it was an unexpected site. My daughter was with me and when we walked in it smelled of the olden days. The tables were spread out and service was in the back of the place. There were 3 workers, two men and a lady, (reminds me of the movie). They were busy making orders as they came in. Everything was fresh cut off the block and they make their own bread. The menu was simple and you had to choose your drink from a cooler, like a convenient store. The chicken tortilla soup was great and so was my sandwich. I ordered the half sandwich which I was thankful for because it was just enough for my appetite. The place reminded me of the restaurant that my grandparents used to live next to. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. I will go back again but this time it won't take me many...
Read moreHidden gem of Kerrville. I believe it's a small east Asian family that runs it, they have the freshest bread in the area. When it comes to bakery options, there isn't much here in Kerrville, but this family dedicated itself to providing a quality deli experience. Prices are reasonable and for the portion size you're getting (stacked with meat+cheese+veggies) it's an unreal deal. The interior is dated and it's donated furniture, but I feel it adds to the charm of the place. I'd hate to see a chain come in to compete with them because it will never be as good as theirs. Please support local businesses. So tired of seeing only chains come in and establish themselves...
