After visiting the "cross", I wanted something hot and spicy to warm me up from the cold weather outside. I searched on the Yelp's and found this place not too far from where I was. Decided to give it a shot and boy, was I glad I did! The place is hidden but it's nice decorated inside. With an option to sit inside or outside. Of course I stayed and ate inside :-) The waitress was prompt, sat us down, and gave us the menu. A few minutes later, the waitress asked if we were ready and told her that I wasn't sure but wanted something spicy to warm me up. She gave us two options and that's what we went with. We had the spicy fried rice plate and their special spicy food soup with side white rice and additional spicy seasoning. We were very pleased with the food and service. They offered us military discount and I gave discount amount plus the regular tip to the waitress. Just found out that San Antonio has the same restaurant so I'm planning on visiting to get all my spicy cravings met!

Last night I took a drive away from San Antonio. I drove about two hours and noticed this spot by the river on my Apple Maps. Decided to take a chance. I had their Pad Kra Praw with Chicken and Shrimp. What would you know? This was an amazing basil sauce with the perfect amount of spice. It was next level sauce. Everything about this dish felt wholesome and energizing - soulful even. It was great! The rolls? Perfect. The shrimp were big and it was a unique sauce as in it wasn’t peanut based, which was a pleasant surprise. The Service here? Spot on. He let me sit where I want even though he was closing up shop, he was attentive, kind and helpful in my decision of what to eat (did not catch his name- felt like a manager or owner). Anyway- great service, atmospheric location, wonderful food. Would maybe make this trip to Kerrville just to visit this spot again should I have a chance.

Not sure if there's new management there or what, but there's new staff there and things "feel" a little different... Not bad, just feel the change. Maybe I should've asked just to answer the question in my mind. Either way, our server was wonderful! The view of the river as the sun sets is just so beautiful. This is one of our favorite Kerrville restaurants. Crab Rangoons we're hot, crisp, and full of filling. We tried the dumplings appetizer. Meaty, tender, tasty! Just order them, you will enjoy it. My favorites are the curry dishes. I noticed ours two choices were more soupy tonight then other times, but the flavors were spot on. My son had the Pad Thai and he really enjoyed it. All in all, a great place to eat.

Hey there! If you're on the hunt for some yummy Thai food, Thai Ocha in Kerrville, Texas, is the perfect spot. This cozy little place has all the Thai tastes you’re craving with a laid-back, vibe that’s just right for hanging out with your family or chilling with friends.

As soon as you walk in, you’ll feel the warmth and charm of a classic Thai spot. The place is decked out with pretty Thai art and cultural touches, Plus, they've got seating for everyone – whether you’re a party of two or a joyful bunch.

Their menu is stacked with all the Thai favorites you know and love. Craving something fiery or maybe a bit on the milder side? They have it all! Kick things off with some tasty starters like fresh spring rolls or mouth-watering chicken satay.

You've gotta try the Pad Thai – it's a knockout! Think rice noodles mixed with crisp veggies and your choice of protein, all swirled in a zesty tamarind sauce and topped with crunchy peanuts. And let's not forget the Green Curry – oh boy, it's a dreamy blend of spicy, sweet, and creamy, served with fluffy jasmine rice that'll make your taste buds sing.

The folks here are real sweethearts too. The staff will take great care of you, tossing in helpful meal tips and making sure everything’s just the way you like it, spicy-wise. They really want to make sure you have a fabulous time.

Drinks? They nail those as well. The Thai iced tea is a must – it’s like a cool, creamy hug in a glass. If you’re feeling a bit more daring, go for the Tamarind juice – it's a totally different sip that's both tart and sweet.

Sure, the decor is simple, and it's not your white-tablecloth kind of place. But that's all part of its charm, you know? It’s about the delish dishes, not the frills.

Thai Ocha is a Kerrville treasure that’s got the whole Thai eatery vibe down pat. It's where Texas meets Thailand, and trust me, you’ll want to be part of it. So when you’re looking to fill your belly with great food and your heart with good times, this is your go-to spot. You can taste the love for Thailand in every single bite, and they make everyone feel...

The food was delicious! We have eaten at many Thai restaurants, and I also worked at a Thai restaurant in college. We love Thai food and we were visiting town. I had the veggie dish with rice. My husband had the red curry duck with rice. Both very good. FYI they automatically charge 18% for the tip and then on the receipt it shows suggested tip amount examples for 15%, 20%, and 22% on top of the bill. If you tip 20% blindly without looking at the bill, you might miss it and tip twice. My husband noticed it. If a restaurant has great service you don’t need automatic tips, but I also know a lot of places are hurting for work where they might need to do that to keep servers showing up. The view is beautiful. We ate on the patio and the fans were on. (The fans need to be cleaned and there could use some remodeling to make the patio more inviting.) I would not recommend to order the kids French Fries. It should be listed as “Side of French Fries” because there was maybe 15 fries. We were told they have had this amount of French Fries for 10 years like this. There was only one other child in the restaurant, so the kids menu could use one more item to attract kids/families. We understand the economy is tight where $4.50 for fries is what is the going rate. We have three kids, so we ordered three items off the kids menu for them to share. The kids fried rice and kids chicken nuggets was a fair portion for the price. The food wasn’t oily, and they have a very good cook. I would charge $5 for French Fries and give more fries or leave it at $4.50 and call it Side of French Fries since it was listed as a kid’s meal. If you like Thai food, you will love the food! I also liked how my veggies were perfectly cooked. Great cooks and the owner...

Thai Ocha was a pleasant surprise. I'd originally had no intention of going to a Thai place in the middle of the Texas Hill Country, but a local told my daughter's friend that it was a great place so we gave it a try. The food was delicious. The menu was large without being too overwhelming with a great selection of Curry's, Fried rice dishes and other Thai food with your choice of protein (beef, chicken, pork or Tofu) and fried or steamed rice if you weren't already ordering a rice dish. We tried the pork and shrimp egg rolls which came to our table hot and crispy and had a plethoraa of flavors with a nicely spiced pork. For the entree I ordered my mainstay of pineapple fried rice, which had some nicely roasted pineapple and just enough raisins to prevent the chicken and rice from being overwhelmed. My daughter enjoyed her fried rice with Tofu and Broccoli while her friend enjoyed the yellow curry. Neither could finish their food as the portions were very generous. We had to skip dessert but I do wish I'd been able to try the sticky rice and mango listed in the desserts menu. Given the quality of the rest of the meal, I'm sure I wouldn't have been disappointed! Enjoy a meal out at the Thai Ocha. I'm glad I found it and hope to go again on my next visit...
