I'm really torn about this. I need to explain. The food we ordered from this place was really good. The person we spoke with on the phone was polite and did apologize but.....
We ordered 3 burgers through grubhub. There were 3 hungry people, hence the three burgers. When our order arrived there were two burgers. I texted the driver and asked if maybe there was another bag. She said "No. That's everything. I asked." So I called the restaurant and they said "Yeah, we're out of that burger (it's a doughnut burger and i assume they were out of doughnuts) so we cancelled that item." Well we got no notification of this (that's as much on grubhub as the restaurant, obviously). But, logically, wouldn't it be easier to just call the customer? There are any number of same-price burgers we would have gladly substituted. Instead, we waited an hour, between order and delivery, for one of us to still be hungry. It's kinda messed up. So... where does the blame fall? Grubhub takes a big chunk of the money from delivery orders and has no incentive to manage problem orders. I don't know. On the other hand.. why would you ever just cancel an order? Imagine if your waitress did that while you were sitting in the restaurant? Wouldn't it make more sense to find a way to .... you know.. screw it. We'll do it by the numbers. This would be a 5 if all three of us had gotten food. As it is, one of us votes the review should be 1 star because he was hungry and now he's out money until grubhub manages the refund (the refund does not include a portion of the tax, fee, or tip which were all calculated on the original total). So, if we do it mathematically.... that's 2 votes for 5 stars. One vote for 1 star. 11 stars out of 15. That's 3 out of five stars. It's almost 4 out of 5 stars,...
Read moreI went to this restaurant with my girlfriend for lunch. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak and was told their special for the day was an Italian Philly which included pepperoni and marinara sauce. It was excellent and a lot like Penn Station so if you like cheese steak from Penn Station you will enjoy it a lot and the fries are very similar as well. My girlfriend ordered a Triple Bypass Burger and it looked excellent and she enjoyed it. She opted to get an upgraded side of cheesy potatoes (+~1.50) and it was a very small amount and she was a little disappointed in her choice. I ordered one craft beer the Yellow Springs Boat Show which is a $9.99 6 pack beer and it cost 7.50 which I thought was a tad high. Also my lunch choice of the Italian Philly was $1.00 more than the regular Philly even though I was told it was the special of the day. Just a misunderstanding on my part I suppose. The food was excellent and I definitely want to go back and try something else on the menu. Our sever was nice and the manager checked on us. I am a Bengals fan but don't let that hold you back for trying this...
Read moreThis was my favorite dive bar in the dayton area when it was back on Wilmington. You could tell that the owners pored thier heart and soul into makeing that restaurant amazing. The atmosphere was great and I am not even a Steelers fan. The staff treated you like family and delt with huge groups as well as any resturants in the area. They had great food and it was the best resturant for speciality burgers in kettering. I was sad when I heard that they closed on Wilmington. When I heard they re-opened I went as soon as I could. I am glad to report that not much has changed. The staff still takes good care of you and they have nearly the same menu if not identical. No matter what you are feeling like there is something for you. The sirloin burger(add onions and beer cheese) and ruben are some of my favorites. This should be the model for how...
