Let me start out by saying! I was so excited to eat here. I have heard nothing but great things. But mine and my families experience was far from satisfied. We knew it was going to be busy so we tried to get there early around 8am. The hostess adavised it would be about a 30 minute wait and we were totally fine with that. We have a 14 month old and he eats breakfast around 830 or so and thought that would be perfect. Only to sit there for almost an hour and have every name called before us even a party of six. When I asked if we would be seated soon, magically a table became available. We thought they might have limited high chairs but come find out they donât want them in the way as they take up space. Ok, Understandable. They sat us in the very back of the restaurant right under and air conditioner vent. That would have been great if we didnât have our 14 month old with us. Our server was really nice but seemed like she was very rushed. I mentioned something about waiting a while and not sure if thatâs what prompted her behavior or not. I ordered an iced vanilla latte which tasted terrible. When the server asked how my coffee tasted knowing she forgot an ingredient, she brought out a small cup of vanilla syrup that she forgot to mix in it. Iâm sorry but if Iâm paying 6.50 for a coffee you could have at least remade it. The food, ok. Presentation definitely wasnât there. Myself and my family love breakfast. The eggs tasted like liquid eggs. Definitely didnât taste like a fresh egg. Pancakes were good sized and the biscuits and gravy was ok. All in all we will not be going back to that location. Felt like a bother due to having a child. Might try the original location in the future. Maybe it just wasnât up to our liking. Felt like I could have gotten better service at Waffle House and at least the eggs would have been...
Read moreI would not recommend for a group larger than 12.
The hostesses gathered around the entry stand enjoy enforcing strict rules even on an early week day morning with no rush: no groups bigger than 7 without a reservation (even if none avaliable when calling ahead and the group is willing to wait), no groups bigger than 12 at all, everyone must be present to be seated. After some haggling back and forth, our group ended up splitting into smaller parties with each one taking a different spot on the wait list since we had some folks who really did want to eat here. Even though it was clear we wanted to spend money at this location, the hostesses acted like our party was still an inconvenience even when we made every attempt to abide by their rules.
Honestly, once we got through the gatekeepers it was just an ok experience and definitely not worth the struggle to be seated. Food and coffee/drink prices are pretty expensive. Hot lattes are off the menu for now due to an equipment issue. Food received mixed reviews from our group with pancakes receiving the best reviews, and biscuits/gravy and sausage patties being bland and overcooked. No one in our group ordered the muffins as they were an additional order to be placed with the server and were not advertised until after most of us had received our checks.
If your vibe is a greasy spoon where the energy is kinda rude, this may be the place for you, but it...
Read moreMy first visit to the Blueberry Cafe will likely be my last. We were excited to try it, but sadly were not impressed. Eat here only if you have at least a couple of hours to kill. We were told the wait would be 20-30 minutes. We waited nearly 50 minutes. They finally seated our little party of 2 at a huge table for 10, which made us feel very conspicuous. The staff were all very friendly, and the coffee is great. However, it took a v-e-r-y long time to get our food. I ordered a breakfast platter that included a pancake but wasn't warned that the pancake would be 10" across and would cover 3/4 of the platter. It was big enough for 4 people... seriously. If I ever did return here, I would never again order a pancake. The huge size is not only ridiculous, it's wasteful. I left more than 3/4 of it on my plate, and I'm sure many other patrons do too. Eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns rounded out my meal, and they were all good, but no better than say, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel, or Bob Evans. They also upcharge for any substitution. My friend got a bowl of oatmeal and asked for pecans in it. They upcharged nearly $4 for the pecans, so that little bowl of oatmeal ended up being almost $11.00!! I also ordered some Quiche Lorraine to eat later. It was awful. Very dry and rubbery with little taste. The bottom line is that while the staff here are wonderful, the food is mediocre and...
