Osaka sushi & hibachi — Restaurant in Moraine

I have driven by Osaka Sushi many times wondering if it was good or not. The condition of the building outside really made me question it. I read the reviews and was surprised to see so many positive reviews. My daughter and I decided to give it a try. We went around 3 pm so we were the only people there. A young man sitting at the door threw us menus and told us to sit wherever. We sat for a long period as a woman in the corner sat and ate while staring at us. She got up and finally came over turned out she was our waitress. This was the rudest Waitress I have encountered in a long time. In short and it was obvious she would rather us not be there. I tried to order Nigiri style sushi, and she proceeded to tell me that they only have sushi and sashimi. I did not push the issue but not knowing Nigiri is sushi on rice was a red flag. We should have just left. They didn’t provide plates. We had to request cups for our sodas. The waitress nasty attitude towards us continued. I almost got up and left again but the reviews said the sushi was amazing. Well the sushi came. The Tuna just did not look right. It looked like injected tuna with dye to make it red. The rolls were a strange color and the smell was bad. We ate just a little bit paid our bill and left. We hoped that we would not get sick. I eat out a lot. I eat sushi all over the country. This place is not what the eyes see, the food is amazing. The customer service is great, and the sushi is out of this world.

Jenny is a treat! she goes out of her way to explain the menu items she never rushes and is very welcoming to everyone I have seen come in while my father in-law and I are there which has become very common over the last 6 months.

The sushi chef is a young man seen in the photo and is always smiling and with good reason, his skills and flavor profiles are spectacular. I have not spoken to the chef in the back of the kitchen but have seen him working and have had his food and it has alway been an amazing meal, fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The presentation of every plate I have had is wonderful as seen in the photos.

If you're a sushi lover, then you absolutely must try OSAKA SUSHI & HIBACHI! This restaurant is hands down one of the best places I've ever been to for fresh, delicious sushi.

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The decor comfortable, and the staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.

But the real star of the show here is the sushi. The rolls are expertly crafted with the freshest ingredients, and every bite is bursting with flavor. The fish is so fresh that it practically melts in your mouth, and the rice is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.

I highly recommend trying the chef's special rolls - they're truly one of a kind and unlike anything I've ever tasted before.
