Zen Grill — Restaurant in Kettering

Went in for lunch today, place is really clean and we were greeted as we came in. We opted to order on the kiosk, which I prefer, but there is an option to order at a register if you like that better. The prices are excellent for hibachi, with the most expensive combination coming in at $16 base.

I chose the steak and shrimp, with ginger sauce and fried rice and all vegetables. I love that you have the option to choose whatever you like for veggies, as my husband has issues with some and he decided to opt out of a few of them on his order. I also appreciate that they offer noodles at no extra cost, this was a delight to my husband. He chose chicken, steak and shrimp, ginger sauce, some veggies and noodles.

It did take a little time for our order to come out, but there were several folks there so this wasn't a huge issue. Once it came out, it was a hearty portion, and I thought it was very tasty. For the price point, this could be a new favorite spot...

Ordered the hibachi chicken and steak bowl with fried rice, all veggies, and yum yum sauce. Also tried a side of the noodles and a side of the teriyaki sauce. The bowl is cooked in the Teriyaki sauce that has a subtle sweet flavor, not overwhelming though. I didn't realize the yum yum sauce came on the side when I ordered but I'm glad it did so I could try it separately and add as much or little as I wanted. The yum yum sauce was sweeter than others I have tried but still good and tasted homemade.

Had combination bowl -chicken , steak , veggies w/ fried rice. It was (ok) the chicken was cool the steak a tad chewy , veggies needed to be chopped more, fried rice barely had any egg or green onion. This place is giving, medium quality shopping mall food court , get you in and out type of vibe.
