I attempted to rent this space for a bridal shower, and the site let me fill out a request but I was informed via email a few days later that the space was already booked for that day. The same day, I received another email that the space had become available and they asked if I still wanted to book. I said yes. I was asked if I wanted to just pay the deposit or the full amount, and I answered that they could charge the full amount to the card on file on my account on their site. The person I was working with could not find my card on the site for about a week. I then received an email that their HVAC was out and that I could reschedule, use the two space heaters they had, or use their gym space next door. I choose to stay in the Blush Bar space with the two heaters they had. On the morning of my event (I had the space from 8-2) I had not been given any information about how to get in, so I assumed that someone would arrive near 8 am to let me in. I arrived and waited at 7:40. No one arrived so I called and emailed, and I then received a link to an app with a Bluetooth key which I had to download and create an account for. I was unable to get into the room until 8:15 because of this. This was frustrating because the virtual key on the app was time locked, so they could have sent it to me the night before and I wouldn’t have been able to get early access. But instead I had to push them, they weren’t prepared for me to be there. When I walked into the space I expected it to be cold, so the first thing I tried to do was turn on the space heaters. None of the outlets in the building were working. So I called again, and the woman I had completed my entire booking process with did not answer and then texted me that she no longer worked at Blush but that she would share my info with others. Another person called me, she sent in someone else to check on the outlets. The outlets were fixed by 8:40. This gave us only an hour before the event started to attempt to heat the space, which was ineffective because one of the space heaters provided was a tabletop heater. As far as the space itself, it was cute. There was plenty of furniture, though many of the pieces were not sturdy or the couches specifically were old and just covered with couch covers. The furniture doesn’t match each other. The walls were dirty from spills throughout the room. Also, there was a class taking place in the gym next door which was incredibly loud in our space. We could hear everything happening during the class. This also meant that my guests had no access to the parking in the front of the building and had to park pretty far away. No information was provided about how to clean up, so I did my best. It was incredibly frustrating for me to have this event here because of the lack of professionalism, lack of communication, and the issues...
Read moreHaving no person to person contact No response for more than 24 hours to any of my questions Zero instructions! MULTIPLE light bulbs were non working Not clean! (Washing the windows would have been a huge plus) ANNOYING LOUD music from next door! Back area a COMPLETE mess and should not even be seen Nowhere near the amount of chairs I was told were available (and the ones available didn't even match) My event was yesterday and I was sent an email on Friday stating to be at Blush Bar 5 minutes before 8:00 am. I arrived, and no one ever came to let us in. If it weren't for me having a code to the lock box out back, I would have never gotten in. NEVER saw/meet anyone from Blush Bar
This place could have so much potential if it was run correctly. If someone actually cared about this business and making their customers feel important they could have a gold mine. Just because you slapped some pink paint up doesn't make it a special place. Would not recommend this place...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK. OWNER IS DISHONEST AND SCAMS PEOPLE. As you can see in the other terrible reviews, she cancels your booking at the last second and claims the venue has HVAC issues. She just emailed me this morning saying the HVAC needs completely replaced and won’t be fixed before my bridal shower next month (not quite sure how it even takes that long to fix in the first place). So now I’m scrambling to find another venue for my shower. She’s either 1) scamming everyone out of their deposits or 2) she’s being dishonest about the venue having constant HVAC problems. She should be disclosing this information to people upon booking so they can make an informed decision on if they’re willing to take the risk of not having AC/heat. My shower is in July, so obviously I cannot sacrifice AC. Her communication is also terrible and she takes days to respond. Save yourself the stress and just do not mess with this place. She won’t stay in business long...
