SERVICE: When I asked about a specific drink, the sever (male with dark rimmed glasses) gave me such attitude, reminding me that it was a Peruvian restaurant and of course they had that drink. My companions told them I wasn’t Peruvian and were upset he spoke to me in that tone. I just couldn’t remember the name of the drink (pisco sour de maracuya). He had no reason to display bad attitude. We honestly should have left right then and there.
FOOD: Fast food venues serve better chaufa than what was served. The rice was overcooked and too greasy. The pisco sour with maracuya was equally disappointing. It was basically frothy lemonade. I eat Peruvian food multiple times a year and know what’s quality. Gran Inka is not it.
FACILITIES: Last, the women’s restroom had a toilet leak that spilled onto the floor and needed attention.
CONCLUSION: So, from poor customer service to subpar food, to less than appealing restrooms, plus an inclusive gratuity to an inflated bill, I can officially report Gran Inka should close down and do us all a favor by re-training the servers who worked the dinner shift on January 15, 2024. They need to review proper etiquette. AVOID this place and save yourselves from a sad experience. If you want excellence, check out Salvaje in Midtown - same prices, better seafood, a view, and outstanding service. For good Peruvian food with a modern ambiance, go to Ceviche 105 in D’town...
Read morePrices from web page were different from what I was charged.up to $5 more than advertised.I ordered hamburger appeared $16 charged $17, arroz con mariscos was advertised at $13 and I paid $17 Aguadito de pollo $17 , that was correctly charged . -The hamburguer came with raw meat, lettuce appeared old and watery, and french fries tasted as if they were preheated and also old. -The arroz con mariscos (rice with seafood) was aldente hard and with very few seafood and no proportionate quantity. The aguadito (chicken broth) I have not tried it yet. For the price they charge and above all for the quality of the food which was bad in taste and cooked which, I am sadden that El Gran Inka represents Peruvian food with such an elocuent name as The Great Inka and apparently represents how bad the Inca might have eaten and what Perúvians eat today. This impression was given by Peruvian, Colombian and Venezuelan citizens. WITH NO OTHER REMARK WE WILL NOT BUY OR RECOMEND THAT RESTAURANT IN...
Read moreThis place used to be good, not anymore! The food now not only they reduced portions but is not fresh, I ordered a chaufa which it is a hot dish, it was cold and the flavor was not good. My husband ordered a chicken breast and the portion was 2 little bites. They doubled the prices and the service was worse than the food. We tried to tell the manager and his attitude was nasty, very rude, inattentive, inconsiderate, impolite, spoiled, incorrect, impertinent, cheeky, insolent, irreverent, he should be in the back peeling potatoes or cleaning the bathrooms which by the way were very disgusting too. He obviously doesn’t have the education on how to be a real manager. Not worth going to this place since there is more Peruvian places near by where they treat you well, have reasonable prices and better quality on their food. My recommendation DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! I know I won’t be coming back ever. I shouldn’t be even giving any stars. They don’t deserve not...
