Edgar's Big Taco 2 — Restaurant in Kilgore

Never going back. I was told I could go here for authentic Mexican food. It’s the whitest version of “Mexican food” I’ve ever had. The meat in the big burrito tasted like canned meat, the chips were store bought, the queso was either from a jar or velveeta, the salsa was thinner than ketchup but with less flavor (But I’m white so i could deal with these issues). One of my sons didn’t get his food until we told the waitress again and they finally decided to make it and then they brought it out with my other sons beans that never came out and they came out looking like someone ate the rice to a plate of rice and beans and then gave him the beans that were leftover (see the pic for yourself) 🤢. #1. Place was very clean #2. Ordered chips and salsa, watched the waitress pour chips out of a store bought chip bag Yuck! #3. Ordered Big burrito (i asked for no rice or beans in it) So all that came in it was meat & cheese (OK that's fine) Tasted like canned meat (disgusting!) Didn't offer lettuce or sour cream (that might have disguised the taste) Lastly, the burrito was served on a paper plate! (What!! Who does that in a Mexican restaurant!) #4. The food was good but we felt like $30 was pretty pricey for two lunch plates we each had four street tacos and beans and rice. Two horchatas and it was thirty bucks... I don't know what they were charging for the beans and rice but by our calculation we paid $16 for beans and rice and both of us a horchata. when she was adding it up she said the price of the street tacos but not the price of the beans or horchata. Not saying it happened on purpose but our when giving change back she shorted us a 10$ again the food was good.... Just wasn't $30 good. If we do return we definitely will be getting a...
