This used to be our “go-to” pho spot for over a year, coming at least once a month. Unfortunately, the quality and experience have gone downhill.
Over the past several months, the broth has been inconsistent and the restaurant itself has a strong chemical smell from heavy cleaners, which carries into the food and makes eating inside unpleasant. Several times, I left with a headache and stomachache.
We switched to takeout, but the problems continued. Orders for the 3-meat pho often arrived missing meat, missing extra noodles, or with very little meat at all. The last time we ordered, the pho was packed with brisket that smelled and tasted like old frozen meat. It was inedible.
After eating it, my husband, kids, and I all became violently sick—vomiting and diarrhea that lasted through the night. My husband even had to miss work the next day. I called the restaurant to report this and was told the manager wasn’t available, so I left my information. It’s been over a month now with no call back and no accountability.
This shows me they knowingly served spoiled meat and had no concern for customer safety. After giving them plenty of chances to make it right, we will never return. I’ve since learned to make pho at home, and I highly recommend avoiding this place to protect yourself and your family from food poisoning. People who work there are not nice either. No welcome, just straight to “what can I get you?” Like I’m here bringing you business, and you have...
Read moreFirst time here, I absolutely love it. The lady at the counter gave us some recommendations, glad we listened. Food was so damn good, will be back and recommend to everyone. I love that there aren’t a bunch of tvs everywhere, would appreciate some music.
Update after my initial five star review the last two visits were not the best. Last weeks visit the lady was super friendly and I felt bad she was hopping around on a hurt leg, I ordered ahead of my friends and they received their food waaaay before me. I got my food and my displeasure faded as I consumed my pho, noodles still well flavored and the broth was on point. This last time (today less than an hour ago) I went with my apprentice as she wanted Pho and I wanted Puerto Rican food… I never received my food. I figured they were still working on it and when she was almost done eating the lady at the table next to us received hers. So I went up to the front and asked for a to go container and a refund for the pho I didn’t get. She gave me a stank attitude talking about you could have just come up here and said something… I am… while I get my refund. I tipped both times but this time she tried to make me feel like it was my fault I didn’t get my food. We had to get to work and I didn’t have time to wait longer as we were already late. Still recommend this place but if it happens again this review will be severely reduced in rating and I’ll cross...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place because of the great reviews, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me. The short lady taking orders was quite rude. No hospitality whatsoever. I greeted her with, “Hello, how you doing?” A simple hello back would’ve shown some kindness, but instead I got a flat, “What can I get you?” Even after I said thank you when she took my order, there was no response. As I sat and waited for my food, a few more customers came in to order and pick up, and she treated every single one of them the same way. If you hate your job that much, just quit. I’m sure someone out there would be grateful to take your position.
Now to the food. I ordered brisket pho and the broth was too sweet—likely from too much rock sugar. I tried adding condiments like chili sauce and fish sauce, but it was still too sweet. I would’ve been okay with that, however, when I got home my stomach immediately started hurting and I ended up with diarrhea. I’m not sure if it was the broth itself or the chili sauce and fish sauce that sit on the table, but it definitely didn’t sit...
