Lazy Boba — Restaurant in Killeen

We've gone here several times since they opened because they're the closest Boba location to us. The customer service is great so we always leave a tip and the wait is never long. We actually spend more time trying to decide what we want. We've never gotten a combination that wasn't good and the variety of options are endless. Depending on the time of day there can be issues with parking & there's no drive thru unfortunately.

My only reasons for not giving 5 stars is that it is on the pricey side. We typically spend 30 to 35 on drinks for 5 people and they have NO kind of rewards program. Most places offer you a free item or half price item after a certain number of purchases & I'm a little shocked this place doesn't do that. I hope they read this review and consider implementing it in the future. Also, I don't think they have an app avaliable to order ahead for pick up & in this day and age that is a must have for any business. I think they would get a lot more business if this was an option.

Should they add any of these elements in the futureI would definitely bump up the rating to 5 starts...

Edit: The owner reached out to me VERY promptly, which I greatly appreciated. He apologized and took steps to rectify the situation. As a long time customer, that meant a lot to me. I would still like to see some reworking of the recipes or the implementation of a sweetness scale (0-100%) because “less sweet” isn’t cutting it. What’s less sweet to one barista isn’t necessarily less sweet to another. Overall, I’m satisfied with how the situation was handled and I will continue to do business with them.

The owners need to go back and redo their recipes. Every drink is WAY too sweet even when you ask for less sweetness. Their website says “pure goodness from nature” there’s nothing natural tasting about their drinks. They appear to be a “tea forward” boba shop ( meaning they focus on tea quality) but in reality it’s a gimmicky syrups and sugar. I’ve probably tried it 2 dozen times asking for varying amounts of sugar. Super disappointed bc I want to love this place but it needs an overhaul on the recipes. It...

I used to go here a lot especially when it opened. The desserts taste amazing and I usually order the same thing. The drink tastes so good. The workers are so kind. Over time I stopped going as much but a couple of days ago I went to get a drink. The drink tasted more salty than sweet so I thought maybe something was expired. Today I went to get a drink and the same girls who served me last time served me this time. I walked in and they nudged each other and snickered. I thought it was nothing and got my drink. The drink tasted better this time so I assumed that day it was just a bad day. Not even five minutes in to drinking this my stomach hurt so badly. I felt like throwing up and it hurt so bad. I don’t know if they put laxatives in my drink or what they put in my drink but the definitely did something. The first time is nothing but the second time is just weird.
