Taco Casa — Restaurant in Killeen

Perfecto!! We drive past there all the time on the way to and from Walmart and have talked about going but haven't had the chance, but last night Husband and I stopped by there to try their food for the first time. It. Was. Delicious!! And it was after 7 when lots of other places food would be going downhill. And, OMG I FOUND DELICIOUS TACO BURGERS!!! When I was a kid many moons ago, Taco Bell used to have these burgers called Bell Beefers that I used to love that they quit making some time ago, and I found them again when we lived in Washington at a little place called Tijuana Taco, but we moved from there in 2016.

Anyhoo, most of the fast food restaurants(heck even the sit down places) around Killeen are disappointing, like no one cares about quality or taste anymore but it costs like they damn well should, so my expectations weren't high, but y'all are a breath of fresh air! Everyone making the food was friendly, cheerful, talking to each other, seemed like they were happy to be there, and like they cared about the food they were making. The food was fresh, didn't taste like chemicals like Taco Bell food, portions are generous, and most importantly everything is a great price. And I saw cheese mentioned in other reviews--so much cheese, and it is glorious!!

Never been before, so decided to give it a shot. Asked the cashier what the best thing on the menu was and she said super taco and chili burger. So that's what I got: a super taco and a chili burger. Super taco is basically just a step up from a Taco Supreme at Taco Bell. Same ingredients, but it's a bit bigger and they really stuff it full. The biggest difference in taste is with the shell. Shell is much better than a Taco Bell shell. None of the other ingredients really taste much different than Taco Bell though. Taco Supreme is $2.69 and the Taco Casa Super Taco is $3.99. Y'all can be the judge in whether or not that price difference is "worth it" or not. I'm undecided. One taco is definitely not enough for a meal though. I feel like I would probably need 3 to be full. So probably about $12.72 to make a meal out of it. Now to the Chili Burger. That was kind of lame. I ordered food from door dash from here, and I got my food but no drinks. I messaged my dasher and was told that there were no drinks given to him and to call the restaurant. I did call the restaurant and the young lady I spoke to was very rude. She said well you are going to have to take that up with door dash. I said but you guys also got the order, and you should have made sure the whole order went out correctly. Then, I opened up my food and the tostado looked like it had been thrown in the box all of the sauce and cheese were on on side and the tortilla was not crispy at all it was wet and soggy. The taco burger looked smashed down and thrown together as well. I have ordered from here before and never has a problem. It is one of my favorite places to eat, well it was.
