Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Killeen

I walked in to check on a pick up order my wife had placed. The staff did not greet me. They had 6 dirty tables and 12 customers sitting down. They had 2 to go orders ready and no one else at the counter. A minute later an older gentleman walked in and was immediately greeted and asked what order he was there to pick up. 10 minutes later after 3 customers came in and were not greeted and waited several minutes to be acknowledged I approached the counter to inquire about my order. The cashier asked the MOD about the order. The MOD very loudly proclaimed that since it was only desserts it was not her problem and was the cashier's problem. So now my cashier is embarrassed and the manager is acting like she is so good at her job. The cashier quickly gathered my order and handed it to me. She did forget my daughter's cookie. In the 20 years I have been a restaurant manager I have never filled out a survey no matter how bad the service. I cannot in good conscience allow the behavior of your manager a shorter plump African American woman to go unnoticed for her despicable behavior. She should have stopped what she was doing and did everything in her power to make it right. Instead my order due to be ready at 6:15 did not make it to my hand until 6:35 and was missing items. I picked up dessert here and dinner from another location. Because of how long it took for my order to be given to me my dinner which I spent $50 on was cold and not edible.This is deplorable and I will not be returning to this establish in the evening again. Lunch time shift did ok 3 days prior. So I'll just keep my now once a month visit instead of twice a week...

I go to Jason's Deli once or twice per week for lunch and take out. We went on 4 October 2022 at lunch time around 11 am. When we were in line to order the cashier stood and spoke with this thin older lady with a cane for quite a while. The cashier has red hair in a pony tail with the back of her head shaved. I could hear her mentioning something to the older lady about her grandchildren. Anyhow what was irritating about the experience is she had several people in line including myself and my other half to order food. We were on our lunch time so we had limited time to order, eat and get back to work on Fort Hood. She knew she had several people in line and she kept on talking with this lady. The other lady saw all of us standing there in line and came and took our order. She is a real pretty black lady with a wonderful personality. We enjoy interacting where her when we are in the restaurant. I realize that this Jason's Deli is short handed like everyone else every where else because for some reason people won't work. I suggest giving this lady remedial training so she is more in tune with her customers and doesn't keep them waiting. I am sure we weren't the only people in line to order. After the cashier finally stopped talking she finally waiting on the man who was first in line. The second person in line was a service member. Myself and my significant other was third in line and there were even more...

Been to this place a few times with the family after church on Sundays. Always have good food, can be a little crowded with that after church, afternoon lunch rush. But overall we like going here, food and service is usually pretty good. Oh and you get free ice cream with your food! We had one slight problem this past Sunday when we asked for a table to be cleaned off. We came in right when several people were leaving, which meant several dirty tables. Not a huge problem, because a worker came out immediately and began to clean off the tables. Since most tables hold only 4 people and we are a family of 6, my wife asked if he could clean a portion of the back tables off for us that has a long bench. We had already ordered our food and was looking for a place to sit, but the area that was needed for us wasn't cleaned yet. The response was, yeah when I get back, I'll clean it. Well duh! Pretty sure if we're standing up and waiting for seating, we needed It clean now. We just sat down and the other tables that accommodated 4, and the tables were close enough where we made it work out for us. Sure enough, he kept in the order he was already cleaning in and got back there when he came around that area, but by then we already had our food and we settled in Beside that, we usually have no issues. We'll still go back, and maybe we'll ask someone else if we need...
