Very disappointed in the changes that have been gradually happening. I have asked if they are under new ownership or management - I dont know. I almost have to presume that they are considering how far they have gone from where they used to be. This was my favorite pizza place. I ate here regularly. The staff have changed and not for the better. They are often somewhat rude or condescending. (Certainly not all staff act this way, but enough of them do to notice.) The ones that act this way act as though our presence as customers is an inconvenience.
On my last visit, I was there a few minutes after opening. (I came in about 10:38 and they open at 10:30.) There were seven employees in the store and two other customers besides me and my daughter. The floors were dirty like they had not been swept since the day before. There was not a table in the restaurant that was clean and free of debris from the previous days business. We wet a couple of napkins to wipe down a table.
Our pizzas came out and they have dropped in quality as well. I like they taste of 'brick oven' pizza. I like it a lot. And i am very familiar with what it looks and tastes like. But when you have neglected to watch our pizzas cooking and have allowed air bubbles to go without taking care of them, it greatly dimenishes the quality of the pizza. Additionally, you need to clean your oven better. The unclean oven is also effecting the quality and taste of the food.
The good news - all of these issues are relatively easy to fix. You have not lost my business....yet. First - your employees are spending to much time visiting and not enough time (if any) cleaning and taking care of customers as they should be. A clean store is welcoming and inviting. Any disorder or unclean appearance causes customers to believe that you will be that lax and uncaring with everything else that you do.
You offer food. Therefore the quality of that food is critical to maintain your reputation and loyal customer base. When you are not taking care of the basics, and you blow off your customers when they tell you that their pizza was not cooked correctly due to the air bubbles, you are setting yourself up for failure. (The guys response to me was 'that is the way brick ovens cook'. Bull.)
Train, train, train. This whole team of employees would benefit from customer service training, food handling training, proper cooking for brick ovens training, customer complaint addressing and resolutuon training, and cleaning training. Although there are a couple employees who may not need all of this, reinforcing best practices for all will prove beneficial.
At the end of the day, you may very well find that you have an employee or two who are blowing off your customers concerns, ignoring their training, and doing whatever they want. While it is unfortunate, do yourselves a favor and allow them to go find another job. They are...

EDIT I AM BACK HERE AT MOD PIZZA AND GOT THE CREW MEMEBERS NAME. ASK FOR JORDAN....
Well, I am super glad it didn't happen at Mod Pizza. After deciding Mod Pizza over Pizza Hut (love you, Pizza Hut), we flew across town. We walked in about 10 minutes before close. The manager and a crew member were cleaning up the open kitchen. We got greeted with warm greetings as we started to figure out what we wanted. See if you go to any Mod Pizza you can choose from any of their pizza builds, or you can build from scratch. Ok so now 5 minutes till close. Go the quick route? Pick a recipe of theirs? Ah nope. Custom it is. The visit was great. The crew member explained everything to us. She was awesome. We talked about all the toppings, sauces, seasoning, crusts etc. I am not going to go into everything we put on our own pizzas, that would be too long. Look here....you have options on top of options and then those options have offspring of options, that later adopt options. Lol if you like freebird style build a item format, than you will love it here.
Everywhere seems to charge for time or weight (1hr meter for parking, 30 min massage, 1 night stay, 1 ounce on this, 1/2 ounce on that, price per pound etc) well not here! The precooked pizzas we built were piled up high! No limit, no fuss, just put more of this please. Then even after its built.....put more cheeses on top. It's crazy. 30 minutes after close we walked out with the heaviest Pizza I have ever carried in hand and the best smelling Pizza that had my mouth watering. I was in that box grabbing a slice before I started my ford explorer. MOD PIZZA, I IGNITE MY LIGHTSABER, RAISE IT HIGH IN THE AIR AMD SALUTE YOU. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU, AS I AM ONE WITH THE FORCE AND THE FORCE IS WITH ME, I WILL BE BACK!...
Read moreIf it's your first time going, go when business is slow. This evening staff got a bit snarky and seemed like they were ready to be off of work. Didn't have time to look the menu over before hand (which I suggest). When we asked questions we were redirect to the wall menu with a whole hand point with no verbals.
Pizza was okay... For the price, worth it for how quickly it's made and baked. I guess your paying for the ambiance and to drink canned booze (if that tickles your fancy). Not sure if you pay after or before you get your pizza. From what I gathered folks were doing both. The staff working this evening were sweeping, cleaning, and attending to tables. Which is great... But the ice/soda machine didn't get any attention. For the hour we were there it never got touched and it needed the most help. The ice comes out a bit fast so I get why patrons were dumping it into the overflow tray. But it wasn't melting fast enough so it developed into a mound. A mound that just lived its life as if it belonged there. A suggestion would be to get that thing to despense less ice or have a receptacle for ice only. Good luck with that.
My first time, but my other half had been here during lunch hours. Said it was really great but felt a bit disappointed with the interaction of staff and how things seemed a bit willy-nilly.
At the end of the day it's just americanized pizza. Nothing special, just pricy cause you get to watch them toss it in the over. Reminds me of Genghis Grill... You pick what you want they slap it on the tortilla looking dough and pop it in the over. Boom... 12 dollars.
Suited for dining with friends or as a couple. Atmosphere is nice. Would go again but wouldn't be my first...
