First of all, coming from California and having been to a lot of Ramen spots, this is by far one of the BEST ramen I’ve had in Killeen area. I believe they are in fact the first ones. I’ve been here for 3 years and definitely ramen deprived. Me and my husband are so happy to find this hidden gem.
Atmosphere: 3/5 I think the location could be a little better but I like how its hidden. It’s giving small town ramen spot. A hidden gem, indeed. The sign outside could be improved, maybe a little bigger. Maybe the pictures below should be beside the “Naruto Ramen” sign. My husband was getting a haircut and I saw the sign and my eyes definitely first caught the picture in the middle. When I saw it, that instantly made me wanted to try it. It’s an authentic japanese ramen. Inside was clean, naruto murals.
Customer Service: 5/5 The cashier guy was really friendly, I felt welcome right when I got inside and when we left.
FOOD: 5/5 Omg, can’t say any bad things about the food. It was the most authentic ramen I could have in Killeen area. We usually drive up to Belton to get some ramen but found this is actually better. It’s priced better and the portions were much more. We are so happy to have found a new spot that we will definitely now frequent. We are soup lovers and for a long time we have only been eating pho but now we have an option.
I ordered Spicy Miso Ramen $10.99 and Takoyaki (6pcs) $7.00 and it was the first time that I didn’t finish my food I had to take it home. BTW they come in to-go containers when you order so thats really convenient. Spicy Miso Ramen gave me the heat and kick that I was looking for. The spicy paste was so potent it made my already milk broth more creamier. It was the best!!! The Takoyaki is priced well and it’s not airy and hollow. It’s densed and has a good chunk of octopus meat. It was delicious and filling!!!
We will definitely come back very soon and very often!!! I guess my only suggestion would be maybe during weekends they close a little later. This is a prime spot for soldiers who like to have fun at night and getting food at night especially a comforting noodle soup would make such a...
Read moreThis is my go-to spot and I frequent it rather often. I love the food and the service is usually awesome. My last visit was not that, though.
The woman at the desk taking orders brought her child with her today, allowing her child to run around and talk to customers. I understand a lot of people are okay with that, but when the little girl eventually ran over to my booth, I was uncomfortable. I like to eat alone in peace.
For context, I'm diabetic. I have to take insulin shots before I eat. The little girl starts rapid firing questions about why I'm taking a shot, why I didn't do it at home, what's the medicine I'm taking, etc.. I'm patient with her and give simple answers. I look to the mom as if to say "help me". Her mother laughs and just goes to the back. Her child is still interrogating me. She asks why I have a soda, why I have acne, if I'm sick (regarding the diabetes). At some point I finish dialing the insulin shot and go to actually inject it before her daughter covers her eyes, runs away while yelling "No! I can't watch this!" before running up to her mom and loudly exclaiming I'm taking a shot. Mind you, there's only 3 other people in the restaurant, but they can all hear it and I'm extremely embarrassed.
Eventually I get up to ask for my food to-go instead of dining in. I receive it and the mother doesn't even apologize to me when I was visibly extremely uncomfortable the whole time. I didn't want to say that to her in front of her child; it's not the poor kid's fault, but the lack of professionalism and self-awareness regarding her own child is insane to me. Speaking from experience, working in a restaurant carrying hot food with little ones running about is actually really dangerous, too.
Honestly, I'm still upset. I love this place, but I'm really...
Read moreI'm a big fan of the anime/Manga Naruto, I'm also a big fan of ramen. My brother from out of state sent me a tiktok about this place today and I decided "you know what... let's try it" it's only a 15 minute drive from where I work so it wasn't really out of my way. First glance their isn't much for parking here had to wait for a space. Upon walking in they have a tiny swamp cooler running and realistically just made the restaurant feel warm and humid/sticky. Walked in and placed my order at the counter had some small talk nothing too serious (Not really much to say about service it was almost non existent). Paid for my meal which was 16 bucks with drink (not the worst price) looked around the restaurant and they just have 2 random banners with pictures of Naruto not really anything else. I ordered the spicy Miso ramen. I chose to dine in, they brought my food as if it was wrapped up to be a to-go order in a plastic bowl. Ramen and ingredients in one bowl, spicy broth in another kinda janky in my opinion. The broth wasn't the worst iv ever had but was very salty for some reason. The Ramen itself texture was made perfect, the pork was overcooked and very tasteless. I feel this place really only brings people in because they try to say it's "Naruto Ramen" it came off very gimmicky and really just not worth the time to come in. If I were anybody I would definitely just make Ramen at home, it can be made for far cheaper and far better. Food is a solid 4/10 if it was the only thing I had to eat I guess I would but if anything else is available I will...
