Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Killeen

I was without power for about 18 yrs last week.. It was a BAD BAD day that day for me. Transformer in backyard kept popping, it was bad, so I had to wait over 5 hours for somone to get her to replace it, but then wait for tree trimmers to get her too.. So my son and I get some dinner.. Had not eaten all day. He had McDs and I had Starbees and ZAXBYS.. 🤦‍♀️This is where my nightmare begins..

Horrible dried out chicken.. And if that what you want to call what I was given.. Chicken chicken strips but it look like chicken nuggets..!🤬🤬 They were so dang hard I couldn't even eat them. My 2nd time eatting here and horribly disappointed ... If I was able to give you ZERO OR MINUS STARS I WOULD!!! Only thing I ate was the coleslaw and bread.. My 6 pieces of nuggets which should have been strips were not even good enough to give to my dogs!!!! Whoever packed my meal should've been ashamed of themselves!!! I felt absolutely robbed by this place. 9.81 I think is what I paid or 9.85 for a slice of toast and coleslaw!!!! When I called nobody answered the phone.. Of course!!! They were closed!! I dont care if I come 2 mins till close my 10 dollars pays for the quality of food the people get during a mad lunch rush.. They get fresh hot FOOD, and I bet they get real strips not tiny nuggets like a 3yr old sitting in a booster seat at a table!!!!

SHAME ON YOU!!! At least when I go to Cane's and gets my chicken I know that I'm actually getting chicken strips instead of nuggets because they set their standards High when it comes to their chicken... How do I know this is a friend of mine work there if she told me they do not play when it came to their chicken strips if it did not measure a certain length he got tossed no chicken nuggets came out of Cane's!! and it never does. Maybe y'all could learn a thing or two from their example!!!!! Hot fresh food all the time and actual chicken strips when people order them!!! Oh that isnt dry out and hard as a rock either!!!!

I mean, that what I had ordered... And didn't get.. ZAXBY'S stole my money 10dollars really that night.. Biggest mistake I made going there.. And I will make sure I tell EVERYONE!!!! I paid 10 dollars for a toats and coleslaw...

Update-5/8/2018-went for quick lunch and service and food awful. Ordered Kidz Nibblet meal and mushrooms. Drive thru person didn't get complete order and cut my order off before even finishing. Had to go in and complete order (should've gotten hint when drive thru person cut me off). Ordered mushrooms, big mistake, they were burnt, greasy, and had hair in them. Kids meal sloppy and over-sauced and soggy. This place has gone down since opening. It's really sad the people they have there. Extremely rude and careless employees. Couldn't even enjoy food with the blond hair- and it was highly visible in contrast to the burnt mushrooms. If you're wanting chicken tenders or any type of chicken may be best to travel to either the Cedar Park Zaxbys or another local chicken spot in Killeen/Fort Hood/Copperas Cove/Harker Heights area.

I'd give it more stars but some of the employee's attitudes are not customer service friendly at all. I visited on the 1st day and the wait was over an hour long. I waited and I must say it was a long-awaited and much needed food chain in this area (me being from the East Coast and quite familiar with Zaxbys) instead of having to travel to Round Rock/Cedar Park was a plus. Anywho, 1st visit was good, friendly staff, smaller than normal portions, but hey. Well, I've gone about 2x weekly since opening and encouraged my coworkers to go and try, but each time getz worse. The service has declined, orders are incorrect, and food portions smaller and smaller. There should be more employee trainings and teamwork. It's upsetting to know the chain is local but so much not worth going due to...

So I normally come here and normally it's good. (Btw Lisa is awesome) but tonight I wanted to put in a call in order and so I called and a lady answered asked me for my name and told me to go through drive thru when picking up the order and then hung up on me before actually taking my order. So I called back and tried to put in the order again but got hung up on the moment I mentioned I wanted to put a call in order in. So I went through the drive thru and tried to put a order in. I assume they couldn't hear me because of the wind and I was asked to pull up to the window. They then asked if I order a zac snack and I said I hadn't ordered yet because you told me to wait a moment and then told me to pull up. The woman with microphone who told me to do said "well that wasn't me." I said its alright can I put my order in. I asked for a teriyaki boneless wing meal with a small coke. My receipt said I paid for a bbq wing meal with a lemonade. So I thought whatever I'm just hungry and I like bbq so I figured I'd just take it. Now I had gotten in line at the microphone at the drive thru at 9:30. Now it being 9:52 They asked me to pull up to the railing and said they would bring my food out momentarily. 20 minutes later I had not food and both cashier's I had talked to left. I left with my lemonade that I didn't order, no food, and pure disappointment for the two young women who hung up on me twice for no apparent reason and then left carrying a bag of food...
