Little Italy Pizza & Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in King

I have been a huge fan of this restaurant since i tried their pizza. The wings are also delicious and I frequently order both. That said, the person, or persons, making the pizza have got to cool it with all the cheese. I ordered a large pepperoni, and I couldn't wait to take it home and eat it, until i opened the box. The single pizza had enough cheese to cover 3 large pizzas and probably stuff a couple calzones too. There was so much cheese, it had leaked off the crust and filled the empty space in the box, essentially making it impossible to get a slice without digging through the mound of mozzarella. It was basically inedible, and I am left wondering how they can afford to keep making pizzas when their cook is dumping an entire box of mozzarella on each one. Great food!

Came here off a whim! The rural hall location was closed on Sunday, so this place was our next try. I ordered a cheese pizza. My test on any Italian branded restaurant, because an Italian restaurant without good pizza isn’t much hope for the rest of the menu. My family and I ordered and had food on the table within 5 minutes. This was salad and appetizers, and beers and drinks of course. THE BEST pizza in the area! I had Peroni on tap, which is always a great option. Had the pizza within 10 minutes after the appetizers came! Food was amazing and service was great! Not remembering what our waitress’s name was, but it was Sunday and I think we were seated in Table 10, and she was amazing. Helpful, answered questions and was all around a sweetheart. I have eaten at several Little Italy restaurants, and the food and servie is good, but the manager at the Little Italy in King, NC is a real jerk. He allowed us to enter the restaurant at about 8:20pm, but he became really rude when we weren't done by 9pm when they (appaarently) close. He literally asked us if we planned to help sweep and mop up. Then he packaged our deserts in 'to go' boxes without us requesting it to go. He told us we needed to leave. When I said I had to go to the bathroom, he sent the waitress in to check on me. I felt sorry for her because she was really nice and polite. Unbelievably, when I came out the restaurant, I saw that he had called the cops on us. We hadn't done anything wrong, and we weren't drinking or being obnoxious.
