Each week, I find myself going there to try something else on the menu or one of my favorites. One, the atmosphere is so chill and welcoming with photos all over the walls of the very local area of the people that's visiting there, so it gives a homely vibe. The music is great as well and is most relaxing. Second, the staff are the most friendly of all friendly and Brian is definitely my favorite waiter of all time. He's definitely the most courteous of anyone I've ever met in the food industry and always places smiles upon the faces of others. The other staff are epic as well and always so helpful. I tend to gravitate towards similar items on the menu and will speak to those next, however, I must say as time has gone on, they've added new items regularly enough to keep me interested while maintaining a reasonable sized set of options that aren't top overwhelming. Kadoos to the main cooks because the food is so delicious and mouth watering!! The best part is most the time, if two people wanted to split something, they probably could and be full. Either thay or take leftovers for later so by the time one looks at cost per person vs food, he ir she is most certainly getting a great value for their money. Thus far, family and friends I've taken there have been blown away. It beats McAlister's or any other sandwich, soup joint... and carries burgers, breakfast, and just packs the dlavors in. They're always happy to customize anything. I love and appreciate the flexibility! Go and take your colleagues, neighbors, friends, and family. Take your MA and Pa because they'll appreciate that old school food fill and feel! Ha! :) I don't Wana stop writing . . . I could go on! One small note that is slightly disappointing... They're only open during the day and I don't...
Read moreCame here and had breakfast with a couple of friends who are local. This place appears as a hole in the wall from outside but you walk in and are immediately welcomed and we were able to be seated immediately.
We sat down and received menus and the server took our drink orders. Our server brought our drinks and then took our food orders. My husband ordered coffee. Apparently one of their unique features is they have a variety of coffee mugs that are each different and make this spot even more special. My husband got a hilarious coffee mug (shown below). I ordered the B&G breakfast platter. My husband ordered the Nashville Hot chicken and waffles.
My platter came out and the portions are huge! My dish included 2 fried eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit and gravy. All of the food was delicious. The biscuit and gravy was also very yummy! I was very happy with the flavor of the gravy and the biscuit, the edges had a small amount of crisp, just right, and the middle was fluffy and soft. It was just right! The portion was so much I was unable to finish it! My husband got his plate and his serving was also very large. He said it was the best Nashville Hot chicken he had ever had. He did say he wished he would have asked for honey instead of syrup, but otherwise it was very good. He had so much he also was unable to...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about this place. A coworker and I went there for lunch yesterday to try it. I'll give you the good first, then the not-so-good. The good things are the place was very clean, we were greeted and seated very quickly, and the hostess as well as our waitress was very friendly. Our food came out in a reasonable time, and was proper temperature, and presented well. The food was pretty good. Not great, but certainly not bad. Now for the not-so-good. With a name like Evelyn's Kitchen Table, we believed we were going to a place that offered home cooking options and not just sandwiches. What we thought we would get was a blue plate style lunch, such as meatloaf and mashed potatoes, fried chicken and macaroni and cheese, etc. They don't offer that kind of thing at all. They offer breakfast during all business hours, and other than that, it's sandwiches, soup, or salad. They also do not offer dessert apparently, as we didn't see anything on the menu, and none was offered. The most not-so-good thing was the price. My coworker got 1/2 sandwich, soup, and Coke, and I got a grilled cheese, home fries, and tea, and the bill was over $25 plus tip! If they don't expand their menu, or at least lower their prices to charge more reasonable amount, I don't believe...
