This is a Tavern that serves food, 2.5 not a restaurant that serves Alcohol!!! So Out of 3 visits with a total of 8 reviews this is my thoughts. You are paying for the bar and smiles.. I asked for a medium burger which I didn't get, it was Well done, picture inserted. Brisket was cold on top of the burger, fries are apparently the only side option for a $17 burger & the tomatoes looks like they were out and found a piece on the floor, (why?) I do like everything is made in house that's a plus, but a couple blocks south thru the backwoods and you basically get the same menu just at a better price with better food minus the big large bar. You go a couple blocks west to the Center of town and get warm juicy bbq although it is better at this place. Bottom line is I've had the same stuff done better whether it's a Bacon Jam burger out of Jonesboro or anywhere else I mention. Local owner appreciate that, Wings so out of 3 servings of wings, 2 others plus mine in 2 different visits, only once they were warm, but they were excellent thankfully no one really minds cold chicken on that much. I don't know if there is one majic person doing too much in the kitchen or what, I will say the steak I believe they have 3 is a bit expensive like everything else. But if they can't cook a burger right why in the heck would I DARE order a $30 steak.. I will be back to have a drink and depending on how many I have of those I may eat again. Whether a $10 side or burger, or wings I haven't had anything that was to par with somewhere else yet, just a bit pricier and more disappointing.. Service is excellent only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is cause the...
Read moreWe went there on Friday May 16th. It was our "let's give them a second chance" visit. The first time was on the weekend of their opening and it was cartoons. We saw quite a few people get up and leave. We were underwhelmed also. So we walked in this time about 2:30 and were the only ones there. The bartender came over to us quickly and seated us . He took our drink order, Coors Light and Coors Banquet and asked if we wanted a chilled glass (always a great move!) We both had pulled chicken sandwiches and fries. So a word about the fries...they are some of the best I've had. I thought that was a bright spot on the first visit as well. Plus they gave us a very generous portion. Okay so my take on the pulled chicken sandwich is that it is average. The BBQ sauces at the table were pretty good and the beer selection is I believe the best I've seen in the area. The bartender came over to check in on us quite a few times and joked at one point that he was bored lol. Other people started coming in as we were finishing up and it was a good...
Read moreNice atmosphere, our waitress Kaitlyn was wonderful, but the food left a lot to be desired. My pulled pork sandwich had a mashed potato consistency. It tasted like mush. I was unable to eat it (maybe too much fat combined with the pork?). Waitress was very pleasant and brought me a different portion (after my complaint) telling me maybe mine was from the bottom of the batch? The new portion she brought out was just as mushy. I ordered a burger instead and it was fine. Nothing to brag about. My husband ordered the brisket plate. The beans and apples were very good, but the brisket was basically all fat and no flavor. The lack of charred ends and flavor made us believe it wasn't cooked enough or it wasn't really smoked. We did not complain to the waitress about this because brisket is always hit or miss depending on where you go. Beers were cold and served in cold glass. Wonderful. We realize this place has only been opened a few months so maybe it will improve as the days go on. We opted to try a new place for dinner tonight but it was...
