Boops & Beans Cat Cafe — Restaurant in Kingsport

April and her staff took in my cat Lucy when we were absolutely desperate to find somewhere comfortable while we sold our home. Unfortunately, between repairs and a slow market her stay had to extend time and time again, having her boarded for about a month. The boops and beans boarding facility top notch, very clean, very big, amd even has cat TV so the fur babies don't get bored! There are cameras on 24/7 so you can check on your cat anytime you want. Since we were boarding our cat while we were still in town, April welcomed me to come visit her anytime I wanted during business hours! (And typically anytime someone was at the cafe.) Having a very anxious cat I was worried at first when she refused to eat. April made sure to try a variety of treats with her while we waited for her to adjust and start eating again. April and her staff also sent me videos and pictures of my cat every day, throughout the day. I was never left to wonder how she was doing. They spent plenty of time in the enclosure with her giving her attention and playing with her. I would highly recommend boops and beans for anyone looking to board their cat! Visited this cute café yesterday with my daughter and the experience was just awesome. We were just walking by and she wanted to check it out because... well... cats. I didn't know what to expect but when I walked in, the owner was so helpful and patient. Price included a snack, drink or gift. We decided to stay for 1/2 hour. I grabbed a coffee and we both just relaxed and played with cats. They were all so sweet. Some were feisty but those had warning collars and honestly, feisty was an affectionate nibble. Kitty paradise. You can tell these cats are well cared for and they have staff that make sure they are in no way mistreated by visitors. Facility was clean, large, inviting, absolutely no litter smell, nice music. I LOVE the fact that you can opt to adopt them too and give them a permanent home as they work with local shelters. My experience at Boops & Beans Cat Cafe was a wonderful one. Cats. Everywhere. Not in a gross hoarder way, but in a way where the cats lazed about, played with toys, napped and contorted into odd sleeping positions only cats could find comfortable to their hearts content.

There was a wonderful variety of cats, chunky, a little strange, sweet, spicy, lazy, and so on. Coexisting peacefully and also so friendly to the human visitors who’d stop by. My favorites had to be Havyn, who was just so sweet and comfortable in her odd spot below a TV. Artimus, who’s mostly blind, a little slow, but so sweet. Milo, who for some odd reason hops rather than runs. And finally i’d have to say Cosmo, who was just so curious and adventurous when i was there.

This is a wonderful place for cats and a wonderful home for them until they can be adopted (at least those who can be). If you’re looking for a fur baby, come here...
