Something Special — Restaurant in Kingston

Still one of the best in town and remains at a most affordable price and always displays very interesting art works from locals. We go often and have never been disappointed. It's an excellent bakery with a good selection of artisan breads and pastries. The jewel of the place is Emily. She makes you feel like you're home again. On our last visit, we made it for breakfast and it was most satisfying. The coffee was bottomless, hot, and very timely. The meal portions have always been Goldilocks fine; just like Baby Bear's porridge - “ is just right.” Added bonus: For those of you who do partake. It's extremely frustrating when a restaurant that makes their own bread and croissants doesn't realize how busy they are continuously and doesn't adhere by supply and demand. Something special is known for their croissants so to walk in and say we don't have any and oh yeah they go fast. Well maybe it's time you realize how much your business has expanded and maybe it's time you start making a little more product so people don't get disappointed when they come in. Something Special is an amazing hidden gem in Kingston!

I am infatuated with their Brussel sprouts salad that usually graces their menu in the Fall and their turkey sandwiches are always a fantastic go to. The macaroni salad is also nothing less than perfect!

Breakfast is amazing as well, there is no way you can go wrong with their breakfast sandwich or their French toast.

The staff at Something Special are always kind and grateful, no matter the time of day or how busy they are.

Also, super props for supporting local artist work constantly in the dining room!
